Atleast he is saying right thing,no matter how funny their ex cricketers can be but they don't shy away from criticizing, yeah most of the times its whining

But i actually think he felt it right to have someone in MO who scores quick runs as its not 90s or 2000s,how i wish someone realises this in India too

Yep Pak ex-players are far more bolder with criticisms ours are too worried to upset BCCI establishment

Suddenly he has become bold to criticize and asking the PCB management for tough decisions.

Why didnt Inzi selected these batameez players when he was chief selector? He selected his own nephew ahead of other better performing players from domestic circuit.

Tbf, Imam has performed fairly well.

He should play test cricket only though.

What next? PCB gonna make the team play Uganda, Peru and Haiti with best XI? PCB selectors/TM even dumber than our Indian ghonchus. If you can't field 7-8 rookies against Zim at home are you waiting to do that against NZ/Eng/Aus? Is that a way to develop bench strength? No wonder Malik, Hafeez are still playing, they may even stay till 2027 WC lol.

Agree

But

You do realise these are important matches (WC qualifying).

Misbah's believes a player is chosen ( just like US Supreme court Judge ) for life, He should not be dropped or rested till he dies of old age and only then a new player is given a chance. No wonder guys like Hafeez, Malik, "30 year old " chacha Iftikhar are still in the loop and hardly any new player is given a chance even against the team like  Zimb, at home wickets. Misbah is the worst thing ever happened to Pakistan cricket, hands down.

Iftikhar picked 5 today and scored few .Do you think he will be dropped anysoon?

We too see wrong guys chosen and judged on wrong formats, some are backed like no tomorrow

Oh come on this is Zimbabwe, that too at home.

Anyway Pak has declined since its glory days but you will never be in danger of missing out qualification. Look at the state of current bottom half teams, you may not finish in top bracket but you will play 2023 WC even if you try out rookies in these kind of matches. And depending on how you prepare, how you develop youngsters, phase out oldies, innovate, find combinations etc you'll either make it to SF (after that anything is possible) or get knocked out in group stage. On Indian pitches there is no reason you can't make top 4 but as we saw in 2016 WT20, prep/mindset goes a long way. I think under Misbah's stale approach you will miss a golden opportunity.....with the current 10 team round-robin league format Pak will find it extremely difficult to make top 4 outside English and SC (Indian) conditions. Missed the bus in 2019....2027 and 2031 will mostly be played in RSA, Aus/NZ so if you * up in 2023 it could be a long, frustrating wait for WC dream.

Agree, he was the need of the hour post 2010. Now a liability, he makes PCT so boring to watch, players who used to express themselves freely under Arthur are back to playing dull cricket. Makes for pathetic viewing, only lucky ones are these oldies like Hafeez and Malik who are many years past expiry date.

Misbah will drag your team down, no two ways about it. He is inflating his coaching stats thanks to easy opposition but will achieve nothing worthwhile with his outdated, conservative, nonsensical approach.
