The kind of game he plays he wud not have a big season anyways. His job would be to hit fast bowlers in the end and that will develop only when he plays bowlers with more pace which wont be much of case in domestic despite rise in number of pace bowlers. Also his state side hardly gives him much bowling which is another aspect that wont be developed. Someone like Abhishek plays for punjab which has a far better structure but same cant be said about J&K cricket. He is the kind of cricketer we have been looking for Power hitter who can smash both pace n spin and he does look at home against pace specially short stuff which many of our main batsman arent comfortable still Good fielder Bowls as well and that to leggies Knowing selectors they ll still send Dube, He is miles better then dube . To hell with numbers ....see the talent and develop him. Lone Wolf Posted November 8, 2020 Share Posted November 8, 2020 I just wish he had played right from the start. Knowing Indian selectors they'll back others over him. Thankfully Samad has only 6 more months to come back in the IPL & impress again. Will be interesting if SRH retains him. Tbh he should play in a team that gives him regular opportunities. I was very surprised that he didn't play 4-5 games at the start. He got limited opportunities to impress & he did well. His game against pace is impressive & he destroyed spinners in Ranji. Can bowl too. Hardik and Samad, in the lower middle order, can wreak havoc. Ask Saini n siraj who have been ignored for thakur for long. RCB is not a good franchise for young talent, devdutt who bats with intent didnt playing for them. If Samad performs in other teams, he might still be not selected... He’s selected Rahane in T20, isn’t it? That can give you how much clue he has... Why did Kohli chose Sundar and not Axar or Tewatia?? Why Dube has already played international cricket yet being a one six wonder for the whole tournament.
