For England series, just need to produce absolute rank turners, they just haven't half decent spinners

lets not have Pune 2017 again. Just regular Indian grade pitches that start turning from day 3 will be enough. We 4-0d them in 2016 without any rank turners or toss wins and they had slightly better spinners that time (rashid, ali vs bess, leach)

Another shining example of why test cricket has no future. Such one side beatings are not worth following even on cricbuzz. WTC lol

Can we have more quality T20 leagues please.

The t20 series between WI vs Nz wasn't that competitive either

Windies seem to lack the mojo to compete against Kiwis.. how else can they beat England regularly and get a hammering against NZ

Well they lost one comprehensively & the other went till last over. They were in the contests atleast.

Don't be fooled by one off wins against Eng. They are a club level team as was visible in last English series after their one fluke win.

But the limited point is in this great gimmick called WTC, we have witnessed SA last year in India, NZ in Aus, Pak in Aus, Ind in NZ and most of WI in Eng, all were hopelessly one sided contests. Why would anyone waste their 5 days watching one sided contests, where the visiting team succumbs meekly.

Not every match has to go down to the wire to be enjoyable, sometimes its just fun to watch the journey than worry about destination.

Even in these one sided matches, there were periods that were entertaining.. second test was almost headed for a draw and then suddenly broad took 5 wickets in a session. and then buttler opened the second innings to get some fast runs only to get clean bowled in first over.. pakistan almost won the first test until woakes and buttler put up a super partnership.. and then crawley double hundred, anderson 600th wicket were fun to see. Even today, the last session was entertaining with blackwood - alzarri putting 100 run partnership.. who knows may be they will put another 100 tomorrow with tailender alzarri getting a 100. These individual pieces make a match more than sum of its parts.

Even matches that go to superover can be really boring for 90% duration.. unless you are really emotionally invested in the outcome, there is no special fun in watching a closely contested match

agree.. it isnt interesting. Removing the toss and giving the decision to the foreign team.. they need to change that asap.
