Their bowling attack is underrated. First of all they have 6 proper bowlers, we have just 5. Archer is best white ball quick in the world, Rashid bhai better than our Chahal. Eng have massively improved since then. While we have regressed in ODIs which will soon start to impact our T20Is results aswell

Root naahh....he basically affects their plan. They bat till 10....i mean jofra comes at 9 who can easily make 25 in 10 balls so they have this clear plan to make the most of 120 balls with absolute no wastage. 

The thing that differs champions side from good side is X factor players and root has no X factor in t20 cricket. He is a safe guy and they dont want to play safe cricket anymore . 

Current roy is struggling in t20 but if he doesnt they have many options - banton, salt, livingstone, crawley , barstrow, even stokes can open

I don't think Eng are looking at Root as a prospect for opening slot but I have a feeling they will carry him the squad for the T20 World Cup, just as an insurance policy because it is being played in India & he is s fantastic player of spin bowling.

People seem to have short term memory about English team.. they almost got knocked out of wc last year after losing to sri lanka and pakistan.. their batting machine is well built for flat decks which will work in bilaterals but will not work that great in icc tournaments if icc does their job well. Even bcci should prepare some sportive pitches this time they tour India for ODIs and T20 series

SA surfaces were quite slow & there was turn as well.  Those were not highveld venues.  England is beast when it comes to T20 cricket.  Last T20 WC they did reach final & now their team is even more stronger.  Credit where its due.  They are the benchmark for modern day cricket.
