Kishan at 21 is still a miles better T20 batsman than lolli at that same age. Lolli became lolli after playing Int'l cricket.. Kishan is yet to play that  Both led India U19 teams btw.

First let him prove himself in domestic then compare him with legends.

Dekh liya Iyer ko IPL mai struggling in UAE with short balls..   Ishan Kishan is the only Uncapped Indian player who has hit 500+ runs in an IPl & top the charts with 30 sixes.  Kohli konse jhande ukhaad rha tha IPl mai at 21 years.  I won't call him a useless hack until he plays Int'l cricket.

Mumbai lobby also these guys give fuel to seniority culture..  He should see Dhawan record in T20, cricket.  I doubt he even knows that.

He has to compete with better wk batsmen like Pant and Samson who are even more gifted in strokemaking than him. 

Rishabh pant probably has the best stats in ipl(37 avg 155 str rate) so its going to be a hard road for Kishan. 

His batting never gave me confidence lets see how his career develops.

We all know that after a stellar ipl there's no way in hell that Dhawan won't open. 

Dhawan and Rahul will open in the first t20, Rahul might not play thr other two.

One of the worst T20 openers, if not the worst opener in T20Is in the last couple of years including even Associates.

 

But he is VeeRat's buddy, will continue to play as long as he wants.

 

Rahul in his last 15 T20Is as an opener: 604 runs@50, SR of 147..but if he doesn't score runs in a T20 or two, VeeRat will drop him.

Rahane was opening for us in 2014 WT20 SF & in 2016 T20 WC SF.. Coz this bozo lost form terribly.  Dhawan is worst T20 opener to have played more than 50+ T20I games.  That's Gavaskar & co should keep their mouths shut about T20 cricket even Ganguly has no idea.  Gambhir is only one among our ex cricketers who understands what it takes to succeed in T20 cricket.  He always credits our 2007 T20 WC victory coz we played  fearless cricket & had a young team.

Exactly and if IPL form is the sole criteria, then SKY and Ishan Kishan should have been in Australia. Nothing explains a 35 yr old Dhawan in T20Is except that he is a buddy of the captain.

Most unfortunate thing is Dhawan will get all 3 T20s to play.  Mayank or Sanju may get one game where they have to score otherwise they are out.  Out of those 3 games Dhawan will play a Typical 120 S/R knock in Two games & one little quick cameo like 20 (12) & will cement his place for next series Vs England.  Then rinse repeat & bash weak teams in Asia Cup or Sri lanka & he gets to play in WT20 yet again & then we know what happens. 

Indian selectors have no idea how to build a T20 side & TM sucks bal* anyway

An average record at best.

 

For comparison, Pant in his 9 away T20Is has 218 runs@36, SR of 131. But he's been dubbed a failure and is not even in the T20 team now!
