I cannot fathom the fact that India with such deep resources (monetary and personnel) have not developed solid back up over these years. We have included rookies in such a difficult tour’s squad, who will be forcefully involved in the next test as Shami is injured and Umesh who is more of a spray gun bowler than a gun bowler.

 

If Siraj‘s and Saini’s debut match/series do not go as planned then they will be replaced by another set of “flavour of the season” type bowlers.

 

In my opinion Kohli-Shastri combo have managed to tarnish Kohli the batsman’s legacy.

One of Ind's issues is the quality in Ranji esp. with 38 teams which makes for fewer teams w/ quality players, rendering FC avgs to a certain extent pointless 

 

Over the years, Ranji has seen changes and maybe it is time to revamp it again, while also introducing more pink ball matches

When I think about it,  they should continue with the same XI and include Rohit in the team.  Let all the pretenders get filtered out. Doesn't matter who plays or doesn't play anymore. I'll officially support Australia from now on. Will be fun watching our guys decimate midgets
