Ownajji ... Batting coach ko pagaar kai ko dete hain?  Shouldn't he be able to catch on to the pitch hardening, and tell the batsmen to adjust accordingly?  Too much to expect?

He is terrific  in reading bowler's intentions and the batting strategy required to counter .  I am 100% sure  there was great inputs shared when test matches going on  itself of what bowlers were doing and what should be done to counter that . Thats why that pool of real good quality batsmen became Fab 4  during 2000s and had some very good batting show in Sena for the first time in  Indian cricket history.

Even a  2 week  mentoring every 3-4 months for indian young talents  by Sachin at NCA will help them a lot based on analysis of their weakness. . Hope he & BCCI would think about it sometime in future .

 

Sometime get a feeling  we do not know what we have . We just  take pleasure in deriding our own greats - be it rohit , KL in short format, kohli the batsmen, Ash (people never look the wickets he takes - all very very heavy scorers vs India  -Sangakkara, Stokes, Cook, Smith , Warner etc)
