There are also rumours that Vijay is laying th ground work, arguably the star with the biggest fan base in TN. 2026 may very well be Udhayanithi Stalin Vs Vijay . Interesting times ahead

Trolling or Bandwagoners? They cater to their fan base and need favors from the next government. Look at how Bhaiwood sucked up to UddhavT and MVA when it happened.

My guess is from what I have seen and read is that it will be like 160+ DMK and 70+.

However My gut feel is there is a more silent wave in favour of DMK than media thinks. Kinda similar to 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

This election also seems odd in the sense that 3rd parties (who usually play spoil sport for opposition) seem to cutting into ADMK votes than anti incumbency votes . Both Dinakaran in the South and Delta and Kamal in Kongu region are cutting into ADMK votes significantly.

So won’t be surprised if DMK even reach 190-200 and sweep the polls similar to 2019. Though the margins might be similar to 2016 where it was tight but this time in DMK favour .

Regarding regions DMK should sweep South Delta and Chennai. North should be close fight  with the PMK association. Kongu region is 50-50. ADMK will likely sweep Tirupur district barring Tirupur South which DMK will likely win and Dharapuram with is tight contest and DMK should sweep Karur and most of Coumbatore barring Thondamuthur and Covai South. Erode and Namakkal are hard guesses and should go 50-50 split imo. @velu probably has a better idea about Erode district .

Well because we know Vijay is Anti BJP and Ajith is a actor with Backbone . Ajith is the one who has the guts to stand up to Karunanidhi and asked him to stop using film stars for political gains not Rajni or Kamal.

So no definitely not bandwagoning from either of them.

Higher turnout in Kongu region means biggest positive for MNM . The higher the turnout in Kongu region the higher their vote share will be .

Kongu region i think has same turnout as 2016 in % terms

Slight dip if anything.

North is not a bastion of PMK. It hasn't been for a decade now. Both kazhagams started eating into that share for quite some time now.

West TN (Not Bongu) is open for business for DMK and MNM. Votes that normally go to admk are now split into two. As it is admk cadres don't vote transfer to bjp as they don't want somebody eating their pie.

erode , bhavani , gopi , kpm , mettur , sankagiri , edapadi etc etc ( i m familiar because of my friends and relatives ) are hardcore admk areas and i dont see them going to DMK easily ..

to give a sample , DMK never won perundurai constituency since its inception and they usually gift it to their allies ( this time as well )

now gounders have more reason to vote for #EPS and ADMK than before , majority among SC community in these areas are aruntathiars ( telugu speaking  ) and they usually vote for ADMK ( paraiyars go with DMK and VCK a bit ) , kannada devanga chettiars are even more pro-ADMK than gounders ..

also DMK have no popular local face like Thangamani or Sengottaian and NKKP Raja irreversibly damaged DMKs name during their last rule ..

i dont see any anti-incumbency wave against ADMK or its MLAs or ministers  , maybe DMKs anti-bjp propaganda ( demonetization/gst ) might harm ADMK  :((
