I want to see Hangargekar because I thought he looked quicker than what speed guns showed in the u19 WC. Those speed guns were highly inconsistent.

Even if Hangargekar turns out to be fast-medium, he will still be difficult to tackle because of the zip and bounce that he gets off the deck.

Plus he is likely to get quicker as he turns 23 or 24.

I think management is upset with hngerakar due to age fraud issue. He is still young. 22 ish rather than 19. I really feel there should be an under 23 comp rather than 19

He is fine with his age. He was tested by BCCI at 16 and was his age. That's why BCCI didn't ban him as his age test at u16 showed he was fine. It's very difficult to pass through that test if you are 3 years overage at u16 level. Lot of players are being filtered out at 16 itself every year by BCCI. At Max six months here and there at u16. Test is very unreliable at u19. So bcci has stopped testing at u19. And has implemented a new rule that if a player hasn't played u16 or got tested at u16, he can play u19 for only one year.

And he will be either fast or fast-medium with ability to hit the deck hard.

Won't be a medium pacer.

So, let's see how he turns out.

Kuldeep

Tyagi

Umran

Prasidh

You got to be happy? That's jut unreal talent.

On the fringes there is hangerakar, the guy you mentioned and mohsin khan etc.

I am stoked. More than pace, bounce which can Inflict damage upon opponents really gets me excited. 135-140 is plenty of pace if bounce is maintained. Ability to cranki it up is an additional bonus.

There is Purnank Tyagi who is probably as fast as Kartik. Sushant Mishra same pace as Kartik. Gurnoor Singh Brar from Punjab, tall 6 feet 3 lad. Mayank Yadav also looks sharp. Golam Mustafa tall boy from Bengal. B. Punnaiah and Rakshan Reddy from Hyderabad, Lokesh Raj from TN, Salauddin from Rajasthan. Plenty of fast bowling talent coming up. There is a left arm fast bowler Hemant Choudhary from Rajasthan who is RCB net bowler right now is probably the quickest left armer in the country right now. He clocks 90plus mph on handheld speed guns. There is Gajendra Goswami left armer from MP, another 90 mph left armer who won red bull pace hunt by bowling 90 mph.

UP & Rajasthan are these days difficult place to make the debut, likes of Aniket and Ankit...who doesn't have any hopes of making into the internationals are blocking space in the Ranji teams.
Jharkand is also not giving any chance to Sushant Mishra, TN for some reason are happy with their spinners and medium pacers.

Yesterday someone in the commentary (I think Danny Marison) mentioned that there might be many Umran Malik's in India waiting for an opportunity to shine. But unless, Ranji teams won't identify and nurture them, they will be lost in oblivion.

When a tall and bouncy bowler starts bowling 135 k to 145 k or higher, he can be a nightmare for batters.

This how the WI ruled cricket for decades.

And we can get in a similar pool of quicks nowadays.

Many of our State Team Managements remind me of that Ad where someone pushes Bumrah while playing Gali cricket and says, " Boom-boom idhar Fast nahi chalta "

Prasidh Krishna debuted in FC Cricket in 2015 ... but has managed to an only 11 FC matches in almost 7 years, despite averaging 17 and taking 49 wickets in these 11 matches. While Vinay, Mithun and Aravind played on.

Khaleel hasn't played much FCC either.

MP is probably the best state association promoting tall and quick pacers nowadays.  Sen, Avesh, Gaurav and Pandey and even their allrounder Venkatesh is tall.

And it was Bishop talking about so many other talents waiting to be discovered after Umran and Sen.

I only follow ranji. Not any other domestic tournament. Mayank yadav in that domestic tournament looked lightning quick. Purnak I heard of him yes. Lokesh is more of a t20 bowler though. Yes sushant looked quick af. But looked a bit short. It's ok as long as there is pace and bounce. Especially bounce.

I am so excited hey. Love this fast bowling culture in India. So many good athletes.

You need one shortie. Well relatively short compared to the tall boys like bunrah steyn or Marshall type bowler to support the tall beasts. 2 tall quicks and 1 medium height dude with skill and pace. 1 AR type who can be a hitter and swing trundler type for variation.

Yea absolutely. I am being g pessimistic based on our ranji radars. He will be 5-7 kmph quicker in international radars compared to his domestic speed guns.

Aaron touched 152 in domestic right, I swear that ball may have been 157 on an international speed gun.

Saini too bowled consistently over 150+ in SMA 19/20,152+ on those speed guns

He used to also clock 140+ in Ranji for Delhi 17/18,18/19

Next they need to add more pace and bounce to the pitches, quick bowling should be rewarded ,else talents won't flourish.

Switch it up. We should play half season on traditional slow turners and then second half spice it up.

Ofcourse we never would want to compromise on our home dominance. So pitches should aid spin in India, with a tinge of help for pacers. In a way if our bowlers can excel on such pitches using reverse and bowling hostile spells on dry tracks, it will make them so much more potent overseas due to their ability to excel on such unhelpful tracks.

I have seen enough spin pitches in india to last my lifetime. And in any case most Indian pitches will always be slow and low, question is can we quicken up a few .

Pitches in the grounds like Dharamshala can be made bouncy, actually with such a vast country and huge resources BCCI has, it can prepare all 3 (Spin friendly, green top and fast pitches) at selected grounds.
Ofcourse, extreme of everything is bad, I remember in 2013-2014, we had green tops in Ranji, and the likes of Vinay Kumar / Rishi Dhawan / Sid Kaul etc were picking up 5-fers for fun.

Did you see him bowl in a match ?

Wait no. I am confusing yadav with someone else. It was a 30 year old yadav. He was quick. Not umesh.

That is Gaurav Yadav.

Mayank Yadav is probably 19  and plays for Delhi.  LSG picked him this time.
