No. He isn't that bulky. He just doesn't have bowling action approach of a genuine quick. His approach and action is like Sandeep Sharma. He isn't a genuine 145k bowler and will always have inconsistency in pace.

If you don't see him bulky then no point to debate on it

starc is v.good white-ball bowler, he does not changes his length much and does not rely on variations.

He is fast, tall and bowls yorker plus the left Arm angle.

He does not try anything which he is not doing in test

Starc was.  When he could bowl high 140's and early 150's and shape the ball at will. He does not have the control and bounce to be consistently effective at his current pace

He is still good for league levels and playing against a bit depleted sides and will have good and bad days, the discussion was about the frequent injuries to pacers these days.

Till 2024, Prasidh had a very slow and loopy slower ball bowled at 90 kph to 110 kph. The batsmen were not decrived by it.

In 2025, probably due to Nehra's guidance, Prasidh has developed a " bowled into the pitch non-loopy slower ball" bowled at 117 k to 130 k. This has added a lot to his white ball bowling as this delivery deceives the batters.

He is bowling a better yorker too. More accurate and less floaty than earlier. Quicker too.

And very happy to see him bowl 144 k to 147 k deliveries at will.

His usual bouncy, back of a length / short balls are still as good.

And he is mixing these deliveries a lot better than earlier.

Always was a test prospect and is in the test squad but is now a LOI prospect too.

After this season, watching Praisdh. Temptation is to have him in all 3 formats.
However, I would say not to go down that road yet. Coz his fitness in the past has been iffy, right now... he is fit and on song. But playing all 3 formats, one injury and he will be back to 2023.

Prasidh, Bumrah, Siraj, Harshit, Akashdeep, Shami needs to be our Test pacers in England.

Shami, is not 100% and he can break down in any Test midway. Hence he may play at max 3 Tests

1st Test : Bumrah, Prasidh, Siraj
2nd Test : Bumrah, Prasidh, Siraj

3rd test : Harshit, Shami, Akashdeep

4th Test : Akashdeep, Harshit, Bumrah
5th Test : Prasidh,Shami, Bumrah

Bumrah being captain plays 4 tests.
Prasidh gets 3.
Siraj, Shami, Harshit, Akashdeep gets 2 each.

My Six fast bowlers would be BOOM, SHAMMI, KHALEEL, HARSHIT, Prasidh and Siraj.

Akash got 2 games and he flopped big time in australia- I am quite sure Khaleel will do better than under 137k Akashdeep.

In england One requires 4 Pacers and I guess one Pacer AR May Play.

so BOOM, Prasidh, Harshit, Siraj , SHAMMI ,Khaleel...BOOM and SHammi are two premier bowlers and 2 out of rest 4 should play. Yes BOOM should play 4 out of 5 tests.Shammi too should play 4 out of 5 tests. and the other 4 ...No Spinner is required actually in england.

does not look ok, he has not bowled any other ball over 140 kmph

he bowled from 113 to no149.5k and was medium pace most of the time but a few balls were jaffa's..one or two bouncers. i can see some serious capability in him but he is no where READY now

lol what non sense is this?? Mayank should be in the playing 11 ahead of the other bowlers / not some impact sub.

Who’s responsible for this? Zaheer??

If he wasn’t fit, I’m sure they wouldn’t have him as the impact sub.

While talking about the prospect of infusing the young speedster into the playing XI, Pant disclosed that they are still trying to figure out a way to fit him in.

"That is one idea why we are impacting Ayush, to get Mayank some game time, just trying to find ways to get him early in the season, because it's already halfway around. He came from NCA now, just trying to fit him in," he said.

Just as I suspected. These morons are simply not playing him. Making things complicated for no reason.

clearly they are not sure if he is 100% fir and can bowl 4 overs. They are looking for a situation where they can have him bowl 1-2 overs where there is no pressure of runs
