Kamboj concedes 28 runs in his 2nd over.

4 sixes conceded in his first 4 balls.

If the ball is not moving, these innocuous medium pacers lose accuracy too if attacked.

Their accuracy is ususlly against 2nd rung batters who allow them to settle down.

But kon samjhaye mc commentators and selectors ko , itching to give all the important pace bowling slots to these useless pacers for A tours/games

Mayank  0 for 26 from 4 overs.

ER of 6.5 with innings ER of 9.4

Bowled accurately from his 2nd over at 140 k to 150 k pace, steep bounce and some seam and swing. With good bumpers and yorkers.

Like it.

And this is what happens after bowling in actual matches. Hope the LSG TM realises this.

Glad they gave him a chance. Will catch the replay later

I am expecting the same, hopefully he maintains his fitness, grow more confident of his body and then go at full tilt.

Its just that, history scares...we have seen so many quicks lose the pace forever and never to gain back.

Plus out coaches, and NCA..they will again "tweak" his action to turn him into a 135kph medium pacer.

If we observe most of fiery bowlers they also conserved energy and bowled some very quick spells and some at lesser pace with few real quick deliveries as a surprise. Also they will not go all out on docile pitches , may bowl some overs at peak pace, rest at reduced pace.  But at full fitness he can go full throttle atleast in T20s for 2 overs each.

Kamboj may have got an unique record today.

4 sixes in his second over by Marsh.

4 sixes in his third over by Pooran.

Never seen anyone being hit for 4 sixes twice in the same match :phehe:

Shown on TV after 3.4 overs

Mayank

Fastest  150.4 kph

Average  144.8 kph

Next 2 balls were at 145.6 kph and 149 kph

So Average Speed in the end would be around 145 kph

Instead of watching Kamboj get tonked, I actually calculated this.

(22*144.8)+ 145.6 + 149

And then divide all of it by 24

Gives 145.0000833333 as his average across the 4 overs.

I feel so smart. I should have studied engineering.

Kamboj got smoked for 4 sixes in a row twice. First by Marsh and then by Pooran. This must be some kind of record. Brilliant display of "accurate" line and length bowling :hatsoff:

Full marks to consistency.

But I can’t get myself to ‘hate’ him. If he recovers from this pasting, I will have new found respect for him.

ban gaya SHER....Babbar SHer.  hamara Sher- Mayank Sher.

I always knew that Mayank is head and shoulders above all the fast bowlers in india except Jasprit Bumrah.

he is way ahead of Prince /AAkash / even Ashok Sharma-ashok is hard working but Mayank bowls fast naturally.

mayank bowled 12 dot balls today....24 mein se 12 ball pe koi run nahi bana paye..........

in india A ...yudhvir/yash/kambhoj is picked...they should ask Mayank, gurnoor and ashok to join them too. gurnor is so tall , he is like the west indian pacer (ex captain playing for GT now) , he gets bounce at will.

Ashok is I think more well rounded than Mayank.  His bouncers are v accurate and so are his yokers.

Mayank though has better HTD skills.

Ashok got a hard deal IMO

Was discarded too soon....now GT is winning so he isnt gonna get games.

Tyagi was lucky that KKR had zero options. Hence he was able to survive initial games and is now bowling well.

Kamboj must have gotten some backing...has been part of MI & CSK franchises. Those teams do have a say in nationals.

Ashok in MI or SRH or even in CSK would have got full season.

I can't believe how unlucky he is and same goes for Gurnoor.  Poor guys despite performing in domestic cricket didn't get a fair run.  Gurnoor didn't even get a game.. was unfairly kept as a standby player for Emerging cup and Chuski lobby managed to send Gurjapneet ahead of him Outta nowhere.

You are on the right track

There were 3 wide balls.

144.8 × 25 balls = 3620

3620 + 145.6 + 149 = 3914.6 / 27

= 144.99 kph
