nevada
That Kishan was talented was spotted early but the challenges for the coaching and support staff was to understand what gets him to tick. Of the lot, Jaywardene understood that in the first season itself, when in a must-win game against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018, Kishan was promoted to number 4 with a clear memo from the coach: "KKR have spinners bowling. Just take them on and get 30 runs in 10 or 15 balls. That's the momentum I want." Kishan returned with a 21-ball 62, taking the team's score from 62 in 9 overs to 144 in 14.4 overs. As much as that innings turned a chapter for him personally, it was also a moment that stands out for the MI head coach. "I learned that day that he wanted that kind of clarity," Jayawardene recalls to Cricbuzz. "From that point onwards, I tried to give him that kind of instruction and clarity. https://www.cricbuzz.com/cricket-news/116928/india-cricket-ipl-2021-mumbai-indians-ishan-kishan-mahela-jayawardene-coach Great work by Mahela, hope Indian TM also is giving similar clarity to players based on match situation. Adamant
What effing journey? Lol This guy has played two matches and he already has a journey, why not have a biopic after him. Looks like he is already a legend in the eyes of gullible ICF fans AuxiliA and beetle 1

Vickydev
Before last year I thought Kishan would get lost in the system..he wasnt a sure shot in the Mumbai setup esp with De kock coming in, was captaining a team that at best could become sort of challengers but never winners in domestic. There was talk of his attitude etc..but fair play to him and the MI management they give the him the platform to turn it around. Just wish someone can do that with Sarfaraz as well. He is going down the path of oblivion and could become the next Baba Aparajith or something.
