All deserving candidates  except perhaps Murali. Nice to see 3 Indians in the list. Wouldn't have complained a bit if Dhoni's name was found instead of Kohli's. Heartened to see the name of legendary Kapil . King Viv is a no surprise.

Dhoni's name in 2010s??  Kohli is undisputed king of last decade. Dhoni had started declining since 2015. He was hardly good for initial 4 yrs of decade, even there he wasnt the best.

yes .... Ponting deserved it  more for sure... His 2003 WC final knock alone deserves lots of weight. Again Akram too deserved a spot with added exploits of 1992 WC final from a pure performance POV . But with  'ball tampering' factor into play  it is  justifiable that Sachin gets that spot.

I think Saeed Anwar should have been 90s player of the decade. It's an injustice done to him.

80s obviously should have been Imran Khan. How is Kapil ahead of Imran? If only Kapil ate more beef he would be able to compete with Imran.

Kapil dev was world cup winning   captain &  by far the best ODI allrounder  of the 80s.  Even in tests he was  more or less  in similar class to Imran when the contexts they  played in are taken into account. Add 'ball tampering' into    the mix Imran doesn't  hold a chance against Kapil as an 'over all all rounder' let alone ODI all rounder.

Nice choices but weightage could also been given to players who helped their team win WC as well in those decades (Viv - 2 WCs, Kapil - 1 WC + World Series, which was like a mini WC with all major teams playing in it)

Lmao bro I was kidding. The list is perfect except Murali in 2000. Ponting should have been King of 2000 era. 

I agree tendu for 90s.

Virat deserves it, another addition to his useless personal accolades. ODI cricketer of the decade has no stand out innings in 2011 WC, 2013 CT, 2015 WC, 2017 CT & 2019 WC. Congrats to King Kohli for this meaningless achievement.

shame really. you cant choke so many times and call yourself the best odi player ever and that too in an ATG level indian side. 2021 and 2023 is his last chance.
