Gollum Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 How big a part will this play in the WTC final? Our guys are capable of dropping even 10 catches in a test Best catching unit vs worst catching unit starting this Friday....
BacktoCricaddict Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 I am not saying India is a good catching team, but are these numbers skewed by the type of catches? Seeing 4 spin-heavy Asian teams at the bottom makes me wonder if the FSL, SP. SMO catches are harder than the slip, gully ones coming off edges from seamers. But end result is same, regardless of reason. At any rate, don't worry. The only thing they will be asked to hold on to are umbrellas.
AuxiliA Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 Well look on the positive side. Even with the worst catchers and vulnerable batsmen, we are/were still No 1 for 5 years. Goes to show how good our bowling really is. Man if only we had the Fab 5 (great batsmen+safe catchers) with this bowling lineup and Pant. Cricspin 1
Lone Wolf Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 India is easily the worst catching side out there. Even our LOI catching & fielding is mediocre. Not long ago people were calling for Coach Sridhar's head after Adelaide test lol
Norman Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 What do you expect when your so called fielding coach laughs like a clown in the dressing room whenever a catch gets dropped?
neel roy Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 I was watching the video of india australia melbourne test and must say we wete mighty lucky.. australia dropped rahane 4 times, Gill once.. for a change we were not in the receiving end.. so it proves that catches can indeed change the whole complexion of a game and series..
ShoonyaSifar Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 Yet our fielding coach gets paid 2-3 times more than the chief coaches of NZ, SL, SA, WI, BD and Pak. Lalchand Rajput as Zimbabwe coach gets 1/10th of Sridhar's salary He gets paid more than the all IPL coaches other than Kumble and Katich. Zero accountability as long he keeps serving the drinks and be the loyal court poet.
