You mean in terms of "actual" score (team's) or the number of overs we lasted? I'd say even if he lasted 100 overs we might've scored at most 50 more :lollypop:

none, no Indian batsman was likely to get a hundred on this wicket in first innings. Only Jadeja should have scored 20 odd more given he had license to go after bowling at that stage.

no doubt ..... Pujara in the 1st inns ... failed miserably at what he  is 'supposed to be very good at'... If he scored at least some 40 odd  by consuming a bit more number of balls , the scenario currently would have been lot different...

So as a batsman is he supposed to score in every innings,

pathetic record in SENA + WI   is not the sign of a batsman who is supposed to  even justify his place in the team  let alone score in every inns.

None of them.

 

When the match started in those conditions,we we were willing to take 200 as a good score. Got 17 more than what we asked for, that's how difficult the conditions were.

pathetic or not he is better than the alternatives and he gets into the team after kohli, rahane and pant. its not like we have a  superior batsmen wasting away on the bench
