Surya Kumar Yadav vs Liam Livingstone

2 guys I didn’t think of as much but their fearless attitude has absolutely won me over.

Livingstone is a fearsome hitter, Sky is more of a innovative and unorthodox player but never a dull moment when he is on the pitch.

2 guys to watch out for this WT20 I guess.

Who will win the battle of the hottest  middle order bats in the world

SKY is more versatile. Can operate at 120-130 SR while looking safe and without too much risks. That's rare. Will be more consistent and win more games

Livingstone is a power hitter. Will chase down impossible targets but wont be consistent

Actually I do think Tom Curran will be successful in the longer formats. Not cut out for T20.  He can swing the ball and has very good batting technique, who knows might evolve into the next Stokes.

There are quiet a few players who cloud are judgement because they flop  in T20.

Sam definitely has the X factor but what do you mean Jaddu level? Jaddu is already a test ATG for India.

Thakur is very good. Jaddu is anATG in test already. Sam might reach those levels but not Tom.

Like who wasnt rated much but improved with constant backing, lacked natural talent of stokes but still wudnt of that impact as others in LOI.

Sam on other hand is far more gifted and a great fighter

In test he is ATG and largely due to home condition, not that he is bad away but at home he makes a serious impact. Impact is what makes u legend which is what is missing in his LOI career. Impact wud be the same thing that wud be missing from Tom curran i feel , He wud be someone at best who ll team man who does the job day in day out like Thakur wud be in future with occasional brilliance. But these wud never fall in same category of maxwell, pollard, russell, stokes or in future- pandya, sam curran .

Its a long way for Tom, need to work really really hard .

1st part answer - doesnt mean that ll be bad to reach at that level .

Jaddu is an ATG in test , i dnt consider him an ATG in LOI.......conversation is bascially about LOI

That’s what I am also saying that Tom might not succeed in T20 or even odi but might be good in tests. Actually he debuted way before Sam in ashes iirc few years back.

Sam Curran is already a hot property in world

cricket and might only  get better but I would reserve writing off Tom completely based on dumb T20’s . There is something there.

Test im not at all sure of Tom as i hvent seen much of him in county but may be they can replace him with Sam in certain conditions as Sam bowling outside england isnt that effective and he can pushed back in batting with barrage of short pitch as well. Sam needs time to develop in test in all condition, in that time they can use Tom but i hvent seen much of his county performances

In LOI, Tom might just find his way and ENG TM have decided to back him n Livingstone a lot for future

Livingstone is a utility player as well beside being a power player.   He is younger than SKY as well.

SKY meanwhile is just awesome..  He will leave bigger impact than Livingstone while batting.  But Indian TM may not properly utilize him.

Livingstone any day of the week, SKY is good, but Livingstone is a freak, can bowl off spin leg spin googly, send the ball to orbit, can hit flat sixes. Comparing SKY to Livingstone is unfair. SKY is a different kind of a player, Livingstone is a Beast.
