Lone Wolf Posted September 16, 2021 Posted September 16, 2021 (edited) Once again one should applaud how BCCI managed to send the families over there last year. The resources BCCI provides our players is unmatched & that's why we as fans should never settle for mediocrity. Edited September 16, 2021 by Lone Wolf Lord 1

Hello Padosi Why doesn't your country play tests against visiting sides? Why does it insist on useless LOIs? Even if it means playing tests at a neutral, that should be the priority, right? BTW don't worry about test cricket. 5th test or the Ashes are getting impacted by the pandemic. The Big three will ensure Test cricket remains popular (not much dough for below average test nations though) and it reflects in their FTP calendar express bowling 1

Even if the ECB is supportive of players touring together with families, they are helpless.

BCCI and players were happy with a relatively more relaxed bubble for that time (still a hard enough bubble though). Australia now has much more stringent (and for longer periods) covid lockdowns and rules in place. That is where England players are asking for more relaxations as players and families are fully vaccinated. Lone Wolf 1

Nobody has time to watch cricket or any sport for the matter for 7 hours on weekends. Ridiculous. I love tests but ipl and t20 franchise cricket is the future.

Many Indians already justified the cancellation of fifth test for ipl which goes on to show that countdown begins for Test format to the death. Big 3 will play with each other. Add new zeland. Perhaps south africa. Rest will be in b league test format. Maybe Pakistan can get into the A grade soon given they have a young core. Some good players coming through. Nothing beats an india vs pakistan final in tests. It is a realistic possibility in the current WTC cycle.

If wishes were horses, Pakistan would actually be the cricketing sooperpower fans like you believe it to be. So sit down, relax and enjoy Ashes 3.0 starting in a few hours from now

If any test is arranged between India and Australia/England, then India can walk out of any Test format and claims it is IPL hungover which means T20 over Big-3 Test format. I could care less about India and Pakistan. The point is that test format is done. Even you cannot see which you did acknowledge at the same time. If test format is good as done, that would be it. People would move on. It is not end of the worlds. But I am calling as it is; the end is near for Test format. I do not care either tbh. Test cricket should is real cricket. It's not going to die. I believe odi will die. However no one has time watch cricket for 7 straight hours. Regardless, test cricket is exciting cricket.

Tests will be played. Just not for lower tier countries like pakistan as tests format isn't feasible. Ipl takes precedence. Then tests. Odi won't exist In the future. How good was the India England series?? How good was India Aussie series. Nothing beats that sort of gripping entertainment.

Most of them would listen to commentary at the office as they hardly had any TV. college. Most of them follow rather than watch Test match. That has been the case always. if anything i watch cricket more now than in the 90s with since online streaming available. Back in the days you relied on TV. I think Test cricket is good. India rolling out England on day 5 for 120 runs or Pant/Gill/Sundar helping India get over the line at the Gabba these matches cannot be matched by T20 internationals. Actually T20 should be restricted to leagues. International matches are a joke. Most of the time teams send some 3rd string players to play international matches as they don't consider it as consequential. What is the point. One dayers strike the perfect balance for cricket commercialization. You get the result on the same day. And also you have longer time for ads. It is a money spinner. T20 internationals will be good if the main players take part. But hardly that happens these days. Edited September 16, 2021 by vvvslaxman nevada, putrevus, rkt.india and 1 other 1 3
