IPL: Captaincy watch thread

Kieron Pollard just showed how an average captain would lead when he bowled Boult at death.. if Rohit was captaining today, MI might have just won the game.

Another reason why Dhoni continues to lead CSK even when his batting is 40% of his peak.

CSK might become an average team once Dhoni retires.. how will they find the next captain.. there aren't many available.. they should alter the slow pitches in Chennai to become a dust bowl to win

RCB have finally gotten rid of Kohli but they have not thought of leadersh backup at all and will continue to strugge..

Indian batting unit too is having players who act as if burdened by captaincy like KLR or players behaving like boot lickers of captain like Gill/Jadeja etc..

IPL will become a messy league interms of captaincy once Dhoni goes and Rohit is close to retiring... Morgan/Warner/KW bring cant be as successful as desi captains as history shows..  young Indian/foregin players should immediately be part of leadership group and become captains in 1/2 years

omg.. watching KL Rahul speak after the match was shocking.. he should be very angry with such a loss or should maintain some composure.. instead he was almost about to cry and kind of given up on his team.. worst captain in ipl history??

KL Rahul *ALWAYS* looks like he could burst into tears on demand.

If he worked in films in the 80s, Paintal would be out of a job.

three guys.. Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar and SKY..  can be future candidates for IPL, tests and LOI captaincy.. they seem like  cool and composed guys.. but first they will have to establish themselves..

Very hard to pick a bowler as a captain coz of rest/rotations due to workloads

how does that change what I said? Defending 125 in T20s is always tough

In T20s, there is always a win or loss result unless the game is abandoned. That PK allowed a struggling team like SRH on tough batting conditions to take it to the last ball is not a chest thumping result

KXIP are a struggling side themselves. 125 chase would always go deep as batting team knows it doesnt need to take too many risks
