For me its the intense look he gave to Smithy after getting him out in 3rd odi last year. Spooked him good and stopped him from piling runs in the test series. That's when I realised he's the chosen one

Amazing player, team man, fighter. Played impactful, match turning roles in 2 SENA countries already. His own TM(India) doesn't give him much bhav but he always does his best when picked. Champion mind-set.

phenomenal player. tough gritty mentally strong cricketer. Need more of these. 

has good bat swing. power. can play shots. 

 

has a good bouncer, can swing the ball, can bowl decent yorkers. 

 

what more do we want? perfect bowling all rounder. his average in ranji is no joke either. 27 in those flat wickets is very good for a first change bowler.

Terrific player but hard to look past what he did in Gabba and Oval. Both series deciders in a way and Shardul proved his worth.

Oh man if someone told me back in 2018 that Thakur would become a fan favorite among Indians by 2021, I'd have laughed my ass of. 

 

Credit to the guy though. Indian cricket needs more lion hearted cricketers like him.
