Bhai you belong to the select few who are in their senses, please visit PP for more info on what I said above.

I am not salty at all, I want this Pakistani side to improve, cricket would be better if you guys improve but just bcoz you guys won two matches against good teams in t20 doesn't iron out all the deficiencies, that is what I am saying.

You definitely don't belong to that group and my post was targeted towards the deluded souls.

Who are these mythical Pak fans that do this? I’ve never seen them.

Listen troll, go through the posts here. Kohli and Shastri are being heavily criticised here DESPITE winning the test series in Aus and England* and going into the finals of the WTC. They were criticised DESPITE being in the semis of the 2019 WC. Our top order is criticised for being stats padders despite their 138-139 SR. Bumrah is criticised for not doing enough with the new ball DESPITE having more wickets than all other Pakistani bowlers bar Harris Rauf.

Be in your delusion that you have conquered the world and are now a professional world beating unit because your 42 year olds with 125 career SR have come up well so far.

Hahahah what does any of your comment have to do with Pakistan’s successful tactics that have gotten them a 5-0 record? You may not like their tactics but it is beyond ridiculous to suggest these tactics are bad and shouldn’t be emulated in these conditions by other teams. The tactics and personnel (including grandpa Hafeez and Malik) Pak have put together this tournament have worked beautifully so far. Is it perfect? Of course not and these tactics will not work in Aus next year but the point is they have gotten the tactics and selection for THIS tournament and THESE conditions spot on. Your last paragraph is a classic straw man. Stop making up things I never said. Where did I suggest we are a professional world beating unit?

Is the thread about this tournament?

But I guess your media and experts have fed the afeem to you lot of how great a team you have. Live in the delusion till it lasts. After all, you are seeing success after a long time. You do deserve to celebrate. But do not get so cocky that when you fall, you fall flat on your face.

I said this even before the start of the tournament. Their team fits perfect for these UAE conditions and they also have the invaluable experience of playing for almost a decade on these same wickets. They are an ideal team to win T20 games on Sharjah, Dubai type wickets..

Openers who're rock solid to nullify the chances of those 10/3 type collpases up top. Won't take the game away from you but will still be in control with a 48/0 start in the PP.

A middle order with excellent players of spin bowling and a guy who can smash it from ball one.

A bowling attack with tremendous variety and express pace with a defensive spinner to build the pressure.

Only thing they're missing is a genuine wicket taking spin option like Zampa, Hasaranga etc and that would most probably get them in trouble in SF/Final.

Play these same team on true/flat pitches of SENA, India etc and they'll struggle to outbat most teams against decent bowling attacks. I'll be really surprised if they even make it out of the group next year in Australia.

They have pretty much 'SRH-2018'ed their way into the knockout stages so interesting to see how they go from here on..

Yes, one random IPL games or season here & there doesn't take away from the fact that Pak have a lot more experience here!

The question should have been framed. WOULD PAKISTAN BE IN SF IF THEY LOST BOTH THE TOSSES. My answer would be no as then all Three teams would either be on 8 points like the other and india would have qualified via nrr. I dont think they would have won either of the matches if they batted first. Hell i have doubt they would have lost 3 as they were literally struggling to chase againsy nz and afg till asif ali bailed them out even with dew.

Stats? What's that? Data science? What's that? Analytics? We will pick based on caste and reputation thanks.

There was a reason I called one of the player selected as a quota player.

Agree with this. I think we will struggle if we bat first and our openers go cheaply. Australia pitches won't suit this team at all. The team is fine for 150 type scores but will struggle on 180+ pitches.

Some merit to it.. While domestic teams like MI are big into analytics, think Indian national team has been pretty old school about this. You can get with this in Tests but in T20s, a few balls can make vital difference hence where analytics comes into play.
