vayuu1 Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 (edited) We have been noticing one thing that we haven't got desired results from no 4-7 in icc events ,but have we ever wondered why, watch IPL team's and their compositions how many teams have Indian players from no 4-7,tell me and how many have delivered consistently, have we been able to groom any player for the finisher role Edited November 10, 2021 by vayuu1 Mariyam, raki05, Norman and 1 other 4

In t20s generally your 4-7 won't bail you out from 15/3 type score to help you make 180-190.
cricketfan28 Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 sarma, kishan, sky and pandya .. failed to deliver against pakistan and newzeland game over.

Our opening/power play batting has been miserable in the games that mattered. And our openers were certified flops even in the IPL. Yet the team persisted with them. express bowling 1

Wrong ,that is is the exact mentality that has led to this situation,14 final yuvi was the culprit,16 rahane ,17 and 19 non existing middle order,ur top order cant bail u out every time middle order has to fire lower order has to contribute the 11 wc and 07t20 final shows how important mo contribution is if u have to win icc tourney raki05 1

Majestic Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 The expectations were high from Pandya as he was groomed for the all-rounder role. A match winning all rounder who will win you matches with bat and bowl both. Like Stokes did in 2019 WC. But he was the first one who showed signs of lack of responsibility going into World T20. We didn't had a backup option ready and had to pay the price. Second point is obviously the failures of top 3 in those two big matches. They would score 7 out of 10 matches in bilaterals but their failure in big games costed us the tournament. Thirdly, we have struggled to figure out a new bowl bowler in T20s. We have Bumrah for backend overs but who is taking the role at the top admirably, it is Bhuvi. But he looked out of touch and losing fitness since the IPL. Shami was again a wrong selection and so was Varun Chakraborty.
sage Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 If the T20 WC happened in 2020 then our all MI team would have gone out guns blazing nd we'd have won the whole thing such was the form they were playing in
