On the face of it, this should be an easy series win for India (2-0).

 

Hard to believe it will be that easy though given how they beat us in WTC.

It will be, our pitches will be slow, low turners. It will make their pace bowlers obsolete. One pace bowler in our side should be enough, 4 spinners.

However for balance, I like this side. The fact that Jaddu, Ash and Axar are decent batsmen in India, makes this a very powerful side.

 

I would rest Bumrah and drop Pujara. We need to look at the future.

Lol nha it will be easy. Will be easy to win away too if kohli dint captain us. 

 

If India can beat a full strength full peaked Australian side away then I am certain we can beat Kiwis away too. We just never prep we'll for kiwis every time india plays a couple of tour games or preps well, we win or make it very competitive. 

 

At home I expect us to mutilate them tbh.

Bumrah has poor record bowling in kiwi land for some reason. The only country he has struggled in. 

Which is weird considering he is very very good with kookaburra ball. Maybe it's the swinging conditions.

I really like this Team except Shreyas.

 

He has issues against hard length balls and short balls at good pace. Additionally he has the " mandatory " weakness against swing that every Indian after 2010 has. 

 

He may do well in tests in India, due to the pitches but I think we have to find all condition batsmen.

I have no issues of Washington for Iyer.

 

I havent been exposed much to his batting ability but I presume he is fairly decent, didnt get to see too much of him in Australia but he played well. I guess in India he would be a better batsmen.

 

What I am confident on is that the contribution of Washington will be >>>> than Rahane at that position. His time has come and is over.

One thing that Australian cricket used to do very well when on top was introducing new players to the team when they were successful.

 

This culture of being in a winning team gives new players the confidence they need when starting off, instead of playing in an away tour in difficult circumstances.

Dude forget about it. That will never happen in India. Our main players would never allow that to happen. Competition means someone will take someone else's paycheck eventually. For batting atleast. Bowlers can be rotated but even they won't get rotated much because kaptaan will prefer to play his mates. Mates rates is always key.
