Jadeja in limited overs for India

This guy has played 5 t20 worldcups for india and always people forget his performance.

 

His stats in 5 worldcups against top teams (Eng, Aus, WI, NZ, SA, Pak, SL)

 

Bowling: 11 wickets in 16 innings avg 37.45 at eco of 8.07

 

Batting: Average of 16 at strike rate of 92.22 (totally useless like tailender)

 

Bowling in important matches (2010 league matches to qualify, 2014 final, 2016 semi final, 2021 must win match against NZ)

 

 

How does he keep getting selected and experts keep calling him all rounder? He has similar records in odis and most likely will play in 2023 worldcup as well. Will perform at best when there is nothing left to loose. Have seen him taking singles when we needed boundaries to win the match.

The other day Mark Nicholas was saying Jadeja can take game away from NZ , I mean these commentators do not watch cricket & just blabber random BS.

This guy's only utility is in ODI cricket if he can bat in top 5 & regularly bowl 10 overs. He is a proven failure at no 7 spot.

In T20 cricket, he is a very ordinary option, Indian cricket just do not want to learn.

Jadeja is a very limited Loi cricketer but still better than other options that we have for the spin allrounder spot.

He saves min 15 to 20 runs by his fielding so he deserves his place ahead of players like pandya, Bhuvi

In terms of Utility,

Jadeja > Pandya.   So if we are still persisting with Pandya,  Jadeja is the lesser worry

They can keep him in  the One dayers. But in T20 he is not that much of  use as even at his peak form he is perfectly capable of losing a game both with bat and ball.

As they say, andhon mein kana raja, in a blind world one eyed man is the king. 

 

In a white-ball setup full of one dimensional players who can only bat or only bowl, many of whom can't even field, Jadeja is an indispensable asset. Like a rich man's Robin Singh of the 90s.
