I recognize some of the pacers and pace-bowling ARs. Don't really recognize the spinners or who the next-gen batting stars would be.

Vicky Ostwal, Amrit Raj, and manav parakh are the spinners. Batsmen harnoor Singh, Siddharth Yadav, rasheed, Dinesh Bana.

Though I don't have much hope from this side. They aren't battle hardened due to pandemic.

No point in talking about under 19 bowlers bowlers none get chances.

Mavin/Ishan porel/Nagarkoti all from same batch. For different reasons they never could break through. THey were one of the most promising bowling unit.  Actually Unadkat was clocking 139 kph when he played under 19. Very feisty. Netravalkar was a trundler though.  India brought in Unadkat too early on an absolute road where every bowler went for runs.  He probably would have done better in red ball cricket.

Fast bowlers don't debut for us early anymore. Kartik can already play LOI cricket for India.

well these players failed miserably against bangladesh, let’s see how they inspire themselves to improve their game.

fail to understand why yash dhull is the captain, just because he is from delhi ?? has not done much in the matches as captain or as a player.. Rasheed / Aneeshwar did much better in the past tournaments..

Potential IPL millionaires - that's it. If 2018 batch isn't able to hack it at international level, I'm sure no one else can. Where are all the Nagarkotis, Mavs, Porels, Tyagis gone?

Well the batsmen made it to the national teams, but the bowlers reached till State / IPL teams..   Bowlers are not groomed much in India, it takes time to recognize them.. Avesh / Khaleel have not yet fully established as bowlers, can give an indication as to how slow the bowlers progress from U19 to National teams.

That's not the right assessment. In fact, fast bowlers from u19 used to progress very quickly in the past from Irfan to Unadkat but not anymore because now we have a pool of bowlers, which wasn't the case before. Now it's not easy to break in that quickly. A bowler like Kartik Tyagi would easily have broken through by now in 2010 not now.

i would say that’s not the right assessment, one one hand we keep saying we are a team of trundlers, when we get U19 bowlers who bowl 145+ why are they not even in Indian teams, From the recent past, only Khaleel made it briefly and disappeared when he started bowling 120’s, on the other hand you would know what shaheen afridi is doing… this generation of bowlers who bowl fast, Simply DO NOT know how to take wickets & hence they are not successful, or they keep getting injured & i put that down to PLAIN GROOMING & LACK OF COACHING…

If you want to break into Indian side as a seamer make sure you can bat as well. Otherwise it is going to be a long journey unless you produce some breakthrough performances in the IPL.

It's people on ICF say we are a team of trundlers. Don't think selectors and TM think like that. If that was case, likes of Mavi, Koti, Prasidh, Kartik would have made it immediately. Regarding Khaleel, we need to bring him back, was dropped too soon.

Regarding Shaheen, because of his build, he was always a better prospect than Mavi, koti.

No Vijay Kumar who is probably the quickest u19 pacer right now.

Quickest are Vasu Vats and Aayush Thakur. Vijay Kumar is behind and to me he looked decent, should have been picked against BD.

i agree on that point as to what the TM looks for, hence i said recent U19 batch even though are quick have done nothing to influence anyone to breakthrough to the team, which is slow progress, Avesh after all these years has broken through without getting a game because he has recently been consistent in taking wickets..

In the past Irfan broke through because when had take 9/10 wickets which caused everyone to take notice, Unadkat even though played just 1 test match broke through because of consistent wickets in A teams ( 5-6 wickets regularly ) , and that is what selectors look for.

I want the quicks to enter the team ASAP, but as i’ve said many times before, we do not have the right coaches / mentors for the fast bowlers to groom these kids, they are left on their own with nobody coaches who have done nothing to improve the bowlers skills / control etc..

It’s bloody annoying, An example of recent U19 bowlers( Yash Thakur / A Thakur big trundlers both of them) & Nalkande all from Vidarbha, Nalkande was leading the pack in U19’s cos of many wickets & many runs, but in senior teams he couldn’t make much impact apart from a few flashes, where as A Thakur / Yash have established themselves as the first choice seamers due to truck load of wickets, so i can only say one thing, the coaches are good if the bowler is medium pace like prabhakar, if there comes song a quickie with little or no control, he is not worked upon & he takes his own time to become a better bowler..

An exceptional talent like Tyagi should be given chances at national level soon and be given a longer rope. He is the one on whom Indian selectors need to invest.

He remains injured for most of the times
