Because the ire was against technology not a player or umpire. There is no provisions in icc code of conduct for venting anger against technology or broadcaster.

nothing from ICC

nothing from BCCI

no demerit points

zilch

nadda

what a disgrace

ICC has a close that you cannot accuse a board, but there's no such close for broadcaster separately. That's what the match refree Pycroft said. Logically though, blaming a board or broadcaster is hardly different. So the refree officially warned the team to not repeat this incident.

i am aware of that. it's pure hogwash. this is symptomatic of indian cricket culture. with power comes responsibility and india is failing time and again.

and we know why that is

Bcoz there is nothing or new to complain.

Technically no official or player was insulted....

Still you can file a PIL...

in future, say whatever the heck you want, literally anything, just make sure you say it to the stumps.

You don't want robots on the field. Venting bit of anger/frustration is okay.

I think Kohli and co knew  they will give get away even with non-sense of such level, good to have a strong board having you back. Hope players from ( financially ) "weaker" board won;t copy that.

There is a regulation against bringing the game into disrepute which is intended to cover things not specifically covered in other regulations such as this.

But technology brought the game into controversy , not the masoom players, don't blame them.

SA Board returning the favour. BCCI continued the tour (and earlier the A tour) despite the Omicron wave. Plus they've won the series. Why escalate tensions? They'll now focus on winning the ODI series.

Did you read Kohli's statement after the match? The clown said it was just a moment in the match and we immediately moved on. Can't be a bigger lie, but then like a tru politician, being a liar and deceitful is second nature to captain clown. I do hope SA players massively sledge clown for not being a ODI captain and hit at his huge ego.

if you see everything through the prism of favor, reciprocation, politics do not be surprised when certain players manage to overstay their welcome or people are elevated above their station. call a spade a spade.
