England drop Anderson and Broad from WI Tour

England have finally dropped their senior duo for their upcoming tests in WI.

 

Remains to be seen if they bring them back for the home summer. Expecting the English media to create a lot of noise on this

8 players from the Ashes - Anderson,  Broad, Jos Buttler, Rory Burns, Haseeb Hameed, Dawid Malan, Sam Billings and Dom Bess all miss out.

 

A bit harsh on Malan.

Bowlers can't do much if your batters can't cross 200 regularly.

agreed. eng is still persisting with regular failured like crawley and pope

Anderson was bowling to Sachin I remember in 2003 world cup. Indias pm was Bajpayee and captain was ganguly. T20 meant nothing,rishabh pant was playing with his toys and shubman gill was in his nappies!!

Lot of respect for Andrew Strauss.. who is ready to antagonize the senior members to rebuild the team, took on KP, won Ashes in Australia (although against an ageing Ricky ponting)

I expect England to drop at least 1 test in WI..  They always botch things up there & Windies are always motivated to do well in tests vs England.  Cultural thing & history is main reason. 

I think they should move away from Broad. 

Anderson should be given fairwell test vs India in Birmingham.

Strauss made it clear that this was about how the future England Test team will look like and the opportunity for England to test it on the West Indies tour.
