zen Posted April 10, 2022 Author Posted April 10, 2022 The below is growing on me (actually, one of the best sports songs):

In some other game, the team will do something else to win (it can be a direct hit, a great catch, Rashid Khan hitting a couple of 6s, ….) Punjab has Bairstow, Agarwal, Dhawan too, but two of them in horrible form. RCB has Maxwell, Faf and Kohli can win them one match each KKR is a one man show and they are not making it to play-offs. But a line-up of Wade(unreliable), Gill, Abhinav (debut season), V. Shankar (Slow), Pandya (questions on his form), Miller (finished) can not be termed good. The fact that Pandya has to promote himself tells you just how much he trusts his middle order.

Don't forget when they bought Gill, he could have very well turned into his 2020 version.

There is no fixed formula to make an 11. With limited budgets, teams have to decide on which strengths to focus on. As for PK, it focused on batting and has limited bowling so ... GT's strength is bowling and its bunch of big hitters/x factor players Edited April 10, 2022 by zen Chakdephatte 1

zen Posted April 11, 2022 Author Posted April 11, 2022 No hunt today against SRH but it took a team that was playing its 3rd game at DYP and lucky with tosses to overcome the fighting Wolves Next game is a big test against a firing RR on Apr 14. RR has not won a toss so far so if RR finally wins a toss, GT could again be bowling second with dew Hope that Gurbaz gets a game, and maybe make an attack that can even take on dew by either bringing in Joseph or Dayal, if fit & bowling well In the above case, the 4 overseas players would be Gurbaz, Rashid, Joseph, & Lockie or Gurbaz, Wade/Miller, Rashid, & Lockie/Joseph (If Yash Dayal plays)

zen Posted April 12, 2022 Author Posted April 12, 2022 Don’t recall if this one is posted before but would like to see Yash Dayal play a few games:
Vickydev Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Sir Shane Pandya has been flustered a bit lately, losing his cool a few times with his floundering teammates.. Needs to go back to his relaxed avatar and bring back the legendary RR skipper's charisma.
sensible-indian Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Lost his cool at Miller for his own mistake. Shouted at Shami for not taking a catch that wasn't quite there. Screamed at Sai who was hurtling from the deep to grab the ball and save a 2. Pandya is not just a West Indian but also a Tillakratne Dilshan lite.
