I6MTW
Who had the better season?
Adamant
Easy Kohli had more runs at a better strike rate and that too 6 years ago when t20 wasn't this fast paced. Also performed in the finals.
Chakdephatte
Both were like 50 off 40 in most matches before exploding. Butler in fact, lost them the final with his approach. I rate Kohli's season higher because he looked in control of innings in most matches unlike Butler who was incredibly lucky many times. Majestic
Kohli in 2016 was better. However, if you remove 2016 for Kohli, then in IPL, he has been same level as a batsman as Manish Pandey and Ajinkya Rahane. nevada

Far more difficult to do it in the age of data analysis.

Jay
Buttler anyday. Defectes on kohli in loi. Overall I mean as a t20 player. Edited May 30, 2022 by Jay
zen
Relatively speaking: From a batting PoV -> Kohli, who played at a different level in 2016. From an impact PoV -> Buttler as RR relied a lot on him. Many times it felt as if it was Buttler versus opposition. Will call it a tie! Vijy
It was Kohli from a batting standpoint - much more dominant season.
