Will Shinde be CM only till 11 June?

BJP must have asked him as CM, to consolidate Shiv Sena MPs and cadre, and make himself legitimate party supremo by 11 June. Else

Shinde must merge his rebel MLAs with BJP? Given, he cannot function as a separate group to evade defection laws.

Can't he create a ShivSena (BT) and get support from BJP?

To bypass anti-defection laws, you have to merge into another party. You cannot operate as a new group. That's 1st option.

The other option is take ownership of the party, and be recognized by Election Comission that Shinde is the leader. Thereby, Shinde can issue the whip and then it's the remaining 16 MLAs who have to follow, or face disqualification. That's the 2nd option.

Imo, 1st option is feasible. 2nd option doesn't seem feasible. Shinde isn't really that much of a big leader...

If he takes ownership then what SS MPs do ? If they decide to with Udhav then Election commission will call which one original SS

It's complicated.  BJP has extended an olive branch to Uddhav, come and join the alliance again and your Shiv Sainik is CM. Uddhav has no bargaining power either with BJP or NCP. Yet, Uddhav has made it about personal ego, and family first. He has removed Shinde from party membership. He is truely now Sonia Sena

2nd option, Shinde as CM, can use this 10 days window till SC judgment, to convince the MPs to align with him. Once he has both majority of MPs, and MLAs, EC should recognize him as the leader. But if Shinde has MLAs, but not MPs, the SC will make their relevant judgments and should side with Uddhav as party supremo.

In that case, Shinde cannot operate as new group to bypass anti-defection laws, and will have to merge with BJPs, else rebel MLAs face disqualification and re-elections...

Expected case.

Many dynasty parties supremo have done little innovation. Without both innovation and power, the top leadership can easily crumble. And the reality, is that the 2nd generation of many dynasty parties aren't pure anti-BJP. JDS should be nervous as well.

Tejaswi or Nitish. Which one is in more trouble.

Nitish for sure..

45 mlas...small enough to break....older leader...no real ideology apart from being an anti yadav caste grouping.

Differences with NCP is that they are in power plus no tier 2 leader who can cause defections.

Both shinde and ajit pawar were known number 2 power centres in party.

Can anybody name the number 2 in Jdu bu street power? The likes of lallan singh has no political power.
