You need real hard hitting hit the deck to be deemed a world class talent. Arshdeep doesn't quite have that bounce. He is good elsewhere but a lot of work to do.

Kyun Zyaada hua? How many young debutants have you seen in India or across World Cricket with such good bowling acumen? He bowls like he has allot of depth and knowledge of what he's doing and the execution of plans is always on the money.

 

@Jay, we have not seem him play in Australia yet and thats a pretty prematured assessment saying that he doesn't have bounce, he bounced one of the windies openers in this series and it was a decent ball. Myers IIRC.

Brings a  Left Arm Angle to the attack, he is accurate, has a knack of picking wickets. It's like having an experienced bowler out of nowhere in your attack. That's worth Gold for me. (If you don't believe me read Bhuvi's view on him that he made recently).

That's just listing his qualities. How does he fit into the team is the question. It's either him or Bhuvi, if he can beat Bhuvi, he is in. Three death-powerplay specialists is just too much. He doesn't support us in middle overs where we need some help.

For middle overs you have Chahal and Pandya, he's best where it matters the most, in the death.

Yes, and that's what Bhuvi and Bumrah were already doing. So, he has to beat Bhuvi earn his spot. Now don't say we need three bowling options to share four overs.

There's still a spot for the 3rd seamer. 

Bhuvi, Bumrah, Arshdeep, Chahal, Axar, Pandya. That would be the core of our bowling ahead.

Just saying that Windies is sort of a lower level opponent, especially on the batting front.  I think his lack of height and that extra half a yard pace that's lacking, is ultimately going to catch up to him.  I mean, I would love to be wrong, but as of now, this is my perception and opinion.
