Good picks. But there's no one who can an all-conditions player for us. Panchal is FTB, Ruturaj doesn't have the technique (FTB in making), Easwaran will be useful in Asia. It's time we invest in Yash Dubey and Jaiswal, they look the real deal to me.

Where is Saikishore who traveled to England with us? Mulani? Kartikeya? These three were obvious picks?

His technique is not bad. Maybe they are looking for a middle overs left-hander (should've been Rinku). There's a thinking behind every player. Yash for left arm angle. Umran retained for pace (he didn't do well in SA). Focus is on wrist spinners although we had better options among finger spinners.

 

Could've tried Porel for Nagaswalla, Jaiswal for Ruturaj, Mulani for one of leg spinners. Otherwise good selections with variety as well.

Apart from Arzan would have like to see Tyagi....  But overall a good squad. 

Promising to see Patidar Sarafaraz both.  Umran Tilak botH selected for grooming purpose.  We need a young left hander somehow.  Tilak is an investment of sorts.

I found it very weak against moving ball...Anyways we probably need one in middle order.  Tilak fits the bill.  Already way too many openers...  It's like traffic jam.   Solidifying MO seems to be core agenda of Rohit Dravid.

Looks he being considered as a MO batter might have clinched the place over DDP.

I feel he has the tools to come good once he finds a way to manage short balls .

AT MI he has the best possible guidance to come out of his weakness area .

Better to get exposed to his weakness as much as possible at this very young age. .In a 4 day game where is need to play attacking shots to a bouncer ? One can learn to leave such deliveries or anything above waist high till you develop controlled short arm jabs/pull shot and ignore bumper totally Or even be ready take the balls on body like Washy did in Aus.

Where is Kuldeep Sen ??

 

We desperately need some big players in the selection committee who understand the needs of international cricket.

Looking at the selected specialist batsmen, apart from Sarfraz and Tilak, most others are unlikely to play more than 3 to 4 tests, if that.

 

Tilak Verma has some x-factor though and he may improve in FC after a couple of years if he focuses on how he handles the channel ball.

 

Where is Prithvi Shaw ??

Nargaswalla is as average as they come and Dayal can't sustain pace in FC. Don't know why they are selected !!

2. Easwaran---------------Same as Above.
3. Ruturaj------------------Very Good Selection, can be an attacking batsman in future. At Present He is still a question Mark?
4. Patidar------------------Some folks rank him as very talented , i also feel he is good so a Good selection.
5. Sarfaraz-----------------He seems to have improved a lot, Best batsman in this team is going to be Sarfaraz.
6. Tilak Varma-------------Seems a good batsman
7. KS Bharat (WK)---------Great Keeper better than Pant and samson on keeping Skills, probably Pant and samson are better batsman than him that's why he is playing for India A.
8. Upendra Yadav (WK)----NO comments.
9. Kuldeep Yadav,---------I am seeing a lot of slowness in his spin and I am loosing interest in his bowling. he used to be a  mystery and now he throws in at least 2 weak balls in an over.still a good selection as he can improve.
10. Saurabh Kumar--------No comments.
11. Rahul Chahar----------good spinner , top selection.
12. Prasidh----------------top selection.
13. Umran Malik-----------Best CHOICE.
14. Mukesh Kumar--------Intelligent Left arm pacer, probably He and Mohsin are behind Khaleel among left arm pacers. Great Selection.
15. Yash Dayal------------Many people rank yash dayal very highly and he is a fiery Jaat..left arm quick but where is mohsin khan? and where is khaleel??
16. Arzan Nagwaswalla.- how can he be picked ahead of Khaleel and Mohsin Khan??? Not a great selection.
