Could have been a long career and perhaps still be playing for India had he taken his fitness seriously. He went lethargic after marriage and gained lots of weight which led to his decline raki05 and tweaker 2
IndianRenegade Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 We miss Raina. He could bat, bowl & field don't have anyone like him other than HP may be. Him & Yuvi helped the team balance, losing them has been India's biggest loss in the last decade. Can't believe he is only 35, he would have easily walked into the squad if he was only fit. raki05, nevada and tweaker 3
deepdynamo Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Flamboyent batsman....him coming at No. 7 in the world cup was a master stroke in 2011 World Cup. raki05 1
puneet28 Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Very handy batsman in lower middle order. His contribution against Australia and Pakistan in WC 2011 are underrated. raki05 1
The Realist Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 A quality multi-talented player with a winning mentality who has never been replaced, and part of a great lower order with Yuvraj and Dhoni. A shame as only 35 so could still be playing for Ind if had the desire/fitness given lesser talented old farts like Dhawan and Karthik are still hanging around. raki05 and tweaker 2
putrevus Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Best IPL batsman in IPL's history.Ultimate IPL warrior. nevada 1

Fine LOI player.
singhvivek141 Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Probably the most selfless guy ever. When he debuted he was just a timer of the ball (like Rahane), but after getting dropped he made a strong comeback and became a superb striker down the order (except for his short ball weakness). If Pant can improve and become like him in T20's, it will solve a big chunk of our problems. raki05 1
