I am pro Ashwin too on this issue. Because leaving the crease early is the actual unfair play here. Somehow they turned it against the bowler.

This is final match of Jhulan. They wanted to send her off with a win. Either way. that player was repeatedly gaining ground it seems.  She was basicaly exploiting this "spirit of the game" argument.

Personally not a big fan of Mankading. Not because of the 'spirit of cricket' bullsh*t, but because it is so anti-climactic and diverts attention from the actual cricket. 

 

Non-strikers should be warned once and if they don't fall in place only then they should be Mankaded.
