yes, the discussion is for the spearhead, which is what "opening" bowlers are expected to be duh!

Your pattern of fabricating criteria to suit your cherrypicking continues - when you fail to dance to the music, keep pretending to dance to your own beat!  It may seem fine to you, but others can see it for what it is.

Let it go - there are some folks who have mental hangups when they feel that they aren't "winning" a discussion disagreement.  Some folks have the capacity to concede gracefully, or walk away, others keep taking passive aggressive potshots and make repeated attempts to "re-frame" the argument to tilt the discussion in their favor.  Its a free forum - to each his own.

Is that what you are doing above? This thread is only discussing bowlers not posters.

Are you upset that Bhuvi is not a spearhead?

Nothing to do with me!

This is funny. Some of the posters were hyping up or whatever Bhuvi on some other thread based on whatever their goal was. I read that (participating a bit as well for fun) and felt that this would be a good (and funny) topic to discuss esp. from a spearhead opening bowlers PoV (much like how I would if I come across something somewhere or something crosses my mind).

How is it my fault that Bhuvi does not measure up in people's opinion?

Strange events but funny!

I really don't understand how Bhuvneshwar Kumar still has these many supporters left in 2022.  He is a nothing bowler right noe, who is lucky that a trundler loving selection committee and eggsperience loving coach/TM are at the helm of the affairs. Or else he would have been playing domestic cricket with UP for the past 3-4 years..

Coming to this thread..

Even if Rabada concedes 80 runs in his 4 overs for 10 games in a row and Bhuvi is picking fifers upon fifers, I would still pick Rabada in my team if I have to pick between the two. The latter is just a better bowler with a proper fast bowler mindset of getting batsmen out (and not some "i look to contain" nonsense) and also a supreme athlete. It's a no brainer.

One of the primary objective of a fast bowler is to induce fear in batsmen's minds in his run up. Bübi won't induce any fear in the mind of a no.11 batsman of Papua New Guinea U12 blind women's team.

Besides rooting for “has beens” and “living the same dream since decades”  have you ever thought about where T20 cricket is heading?

Even “mauka mauka” is history!

Was just intrigued by his response! I am not rooting for Bhuvi in this form. Not my spearhead. I know we don’t have the x-factor to win this toss lottery.

Why would you pick him over Rabada?

Lol. Yes , Rabadi Devi is a choker . He never gives his 100% in IPL

When did Rabada choke in IPL? Was he not instrumental in helping DC play the final? If I am not wrong, he bowled a super over as well! This yr, helped PK win a game here and there.

In the recent series against Ind, he had a good spell making India work to chase a low total (got the wicket of Rohit) … In the 2nd game, he was expensive … In the 3rd game, he only gave 24 runs in a high scoring game and picked up Rohit again iirc.

PS Bhuvi has become infamous for 19th overs!

The fact that you made such a sad pathetic attempt at "framing" the question in this manner, is what's 'grudgey'.  You deliberately shifted the goalposts into "who's a spearhead".  A very different question than who is a 'better' or more 'effective' T20 bowler.  And for obvious reasons.

The bottomline facts of the matter are that Rabada isn't even the "spearhead" for his own national team.

Rabada (in t20s) is a spearhead all right.

The only thing is, that spearhead is up his own team's ass.

5 posters have voted for Bhuvi, 4 for Rabada.
Don't know about Canada but in India 5 is greater than 4.
Attaching a kids counting tutorial for your reference

Not interested

Don't waste my time.

You read my quote and replied to me, enough proof that you are interested.

Not surprisingly too childish a response!

First,  hilariously you talk about the poll which is optional and when the votes change w/ time (its 6 to Rabada now for e.g.; Btw, if you voted, note that your vote counts for nothing)

Second, disturbingly to feel good if someone replies to even say "not interested"! ... I just got a sales call where I said "not interested", hope it was not you based out of one of the call centers thinking you got a sale

mental issues :hmmm:

Bhuvi not picked by Fox in its predicted team of the tournament ... Rabada picked

Kagiso Rabada (SOUTH AFRICA)

The South African quick edged out Australia’s Hazlewood. Rabada is quick, gets bounce and has been a star in the IPL in recent years.

The fast bowler is made for Australian conditions.
