Too many dots in the PP works in Asia but runs wont come easy for Asian team apart from India in Aus conditions Actually he still is not making up that much, at the end his s.r is 129. When Kohli-Rohit were following this template their s.r were still around 140
vvvslaxman Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 If they had played for India they would have been crucified. I don't think either of them are capable of finishing like Rohit after getting set. cricspirit 1
Number Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Different things work for different teams. Babar Rizwan know that they don't need to score 20+ par score on the pitch so they can take their time. Also a lot of time they are chasing below par totals as well so they work for providing solid base and allow middle/lower middle order to just chip in and take them home.
vvvslaxman Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 I heard their six hitting per ball is even more pathetic? Do we have number on that inside power play?

This is mediocre by any standard. Also they have weakness against pacy stuff, short stuff.

They are given full freedom to do all the tuk tuk they want and be 40/0 after the powerplay. And no one ever criticizes them. Wasim , waqar, bazid usually say "such a good solid start for paxtan" after such starts. vvvslaxman, rollingstoned and express bowling 3

They have amazing bowling that can defend 160-170 also. That’s why Wade assault on Shaheen in 2021WC is so shocking and hurting them even now. After Pak innings, all felt (on SM) that Pak win was a foregone conclusion.
the don Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Some of these stats are useless. Against a good opening spell these hetmeyers and lewis wont even last 1 over. Babar and Rizwan are not perfect but they do a job and see of spells like shaheen against india at a pretty decent scoring rate too. Wouldn’t want my top order carved open at the risk of an extra boundary or two.
