If SL beats NEd first, Namibia would know how much to beat UAE by to qualify, as they play at 4 AM. They can push out either SL or Ned out. Interesting day. Have a feeling Namibia and SL will qualify

Buddy, have mercy on ICF

TEAM M W L PT NRR
NED 2 2 0 4 0.149
NAM 2 1 1 2 1.277
SL 2 1 1 2 0.600
UAE 2 0 2 0 -2.028

NAM is already ahead on NRR so just needs to beat UAE w/o worrying about NRR to qualify ... If SL, loses, NAM qualifies too unless it loses by an improbable margin to UAE.

It's simple - If SL wins against NED, it qualifies; If NAM wins against UAE, it qualifies too.

I am looking at all remote possibilities unlike you. You had Namibia defeating Ned as a foregone conclusion. I don’t see the images of stats you post, has anyone told you?

We are talking about simple math! NAM DOES NOT need to know NRR if it can beat UAE!

You are ignoring simple facts just writing general non applicable stuff :dontknow:

You are ignoring, If SL bears Ned horribly by 100 runs or 12 overs, not a mere win of Nam against UAE will suffice. It has to beat accordingly. All three are involved , you know that right?

SL will go through if it beat NED w/o NRR concern

Similarly, NAM will go through if it beats UAE w/o NRR concerns

In the above scenario, NED is out.

TEAM M W L PT NRR
NED 2 2 0 4 0.149
NAM 2 1 1 2 1.277
SL 2 1 1 2 0.600
UAE 2 0 2 0 -2.028

NED can go through if it beats SL or if it loses, UAE beats NAM

Namibia don't need to worry about NRR as long as they win against UAE, that is because their NRR is already higher than that of SL and Dutch.

Yes, and if SL loses to NED, NAM is "practically" through too unless it loses to UAE by an improbable margin

All I said was , Nam playing against UAE later than SL vs Ned, and has a better position on the equation about how to qualify.  Any of 3 SL, Ned and Nam qualify in the end. Just like in the other group any of 4 can qualify based on who wins, we don't know who wins now do we?

You are writing very basic stuff while ignoring simple points -> the equation is already clear for NAM:

a) If  SL beats NED, it needs to beat UAE (no NRR considerations)

b) If SL loses to NED, NAM is still "practically" through as long as it does not lose by an "improbable" margin

Pitch looks slow,

I have seen some sluggish pitches as of now here

Now Harshal has the opportunity to repay the faith they'd shown in him

Only Geelong looks sluggish. I am not sure if any R2 games are going to be played here.

SL probably will try to bat first in all the games, which is not bad considering its bowling and when in Aus, batting first, teams have a good chance of winning too
