Not asking for tons. Rohit,Rahul,Kishan all have 2 good innings in this tournament. Rahul and Kishan 2 in 2. Kohli failed twice now. Only one good knock that too after a great start.

I rather have him fail in group matches and hope he scores runs in knockout games. Lord 1
Adamant Posted December 24, 2023 Author Posted December 24, 2023 I have been away from forum for some time, just came here to declare that after this world cup the likes of Sachin, Ponting don’t come anywhere near Kohli. He has proven himself to be the greatest pf all time , only richards is his competition. Dominated a world cup by scoring all time highest then went on to score a century in semis and a 55(63) in the finals. The king grinned RED! From now onwards he will be referred to as “Duniya ka Papa”. Lone Wolf, Lord, cricketfan28 and 2 others 1 2 1 1

He is a great player. 55 out of 63 is poor though under the circumstances because we were like 80/1 but it wasn't kohlis fault he is surrounded by constipated face Rahul, hack sky, overrated Gill and pandya always being injured. harpicP Posted December 26, 2023 Posted December 26, 2023 King grinned RED after getting dropped at 4
cricketfan28 Posted December 26, 2023 Posted December 26, 2023 So much bias against him here, contributes in every match still termed panauti , cholkli etc, other side a unproven player gets national treasure thread.
Adamant Posted January 4, 2024 Author Posted January 4, 2024 The second highest run scorer in this series on dangerous wickets. Highest run scorer in both the matches for India. The king grinned red.

Although, he would be a diff type of player - a brisk (but not fast) scorer, extremely efficient especially on patta-type pitches, and highly consistent. basically like a zaheer abbas on steroids if he played in the 80s, or like peak VK if he played in the 2010s. Just to clarify, I am not talking about lifting Don from 40s and directly shoving him into this era; of course, the requirements are very different. what I mean is that IF he were born in the eras I am writing above.

Those 2 are good analogies and that's why I said Viv. Viv would have been like better version of ABDV/Sachin having a solid game when required but also a destructive streak with his big hitting especially required in T20. The guy used to clear much bigger boundaries easily with lighter bats
