I didn't realize it was that bad. The way Nasser Hussain and other commies were raving about these two had me fooled into thinking they were truly among the best.

Even for main teams he played their b and c attacks that's how this stat padder padded his stats.

How’s NZ a minnow buddy? Remove that and reshare.

if anything, seems to raise the game vs top teams bar India.

Babar vs SA: Avg 41 and SR 148

Babar Vs Aus: 64 avg and 127 SR

Babar vs India: Avg 31 and 128 SR

Babar vs NZ: 44 Avg and SR 121

Babar vs Eng: Avg 50 and 143 SR

Let me guess, now you will say it was vs B team etc. so I rest the case after this post.

Good !! That you corrected yourself that's how he stats padded. Playing Magala, Lynda, Sipmala, Willey, Tom Curran, mehmood, Ken Richardson etc etc.

Kane Richardson is actually a decent bowler. Him and Ellis are better t20i bowlers than Cummins who is way overrated in this format

Still they are not first string attack.

Buddy buddy thanks a lot for pointing out the error. Removing NZ, it becomes even worse for Dalla and Blizzard basher.

He is decent batsman, not in his hands to choose opposition. Although not in the league of great batsmen, He is perfect example of "stats do lie". Still a fine batsman by Pakistani standards, can end up as the best LOI batsman,In tests-Yousuf is still their best bat. Also Babar seems grounded and likable off-field unlike snobbish Ahmed Shehzad,Umar Akmal who were touted be their future greats..

No yaar. I am not going to argue with folks on this forum who are unwilling to accept that padosis also have great talent.

I don't think Babar is the same league as Kohli, but Babar is an excellent batsman, nevertheless. Something Indian greats like Kohli, Sehwag, Sachin, and Sunil have all acknowledged in recent statements. To call him a minnow basher is just helping some people go to sleep well, so be it.

He is a good batsman. Nobody denies it. However, his stats flatter him a LOT especially in t20. He is not even close to being the number 1 batsman.

In tests he has a loooong way to go yet. ODIs are probably his best format.

I mostly agree but also consider the context. Having watched his career closely from the beginning, don’t forget his team requirement is very different from that in India. He is not surrounded by quality batsmen who can take the pressure off and he is typically carrying the team forward with the goal of getting a par total, which keeps the quality bowling unit in the game.
UAE slow wickets par totals around 150-160 and most of the T20 cricket has been played there. Babar’s SR is much better on Pakistani flatter,  truer wickets in NSK, Qaddafi etc As a recent example, Babar’s SR was 140+ vs Eng at home.

As far as tests is concerned, I think last year was good but he surely has ways to go.

He is a pretty good batsman. We recognize that. Pakistan hasn't had a consistent batsman in ages. Hope he inspires others.

Babar is a very good batsman..however he need to improve his SR and game against spin bowling..

though we need to understand he doesnt have the likes of SKY and Pandya coming in later..

additionally I feel Rizwan is not helping him either as he is not a high SR player..you need soneone like inform Fakar Zaman to let Babar play per his comfort zone..and he can help Pak win many matches given the bowling you have..

Who cares if he is not number1 bat as long as he wins matches for you

Then we are on the same page :) I think no one denies he is a good bat (as much as I love to troll calling him Zimbabar ;) ). For me, Babar has shown that he can play good attacks on good pitches when he has time (Tests and ODIs). His main tests now are : good attacks in tough conditions (mostly tests) and good attacks where he has to score fast (t20s). Don't want to nitpick but in Pak he has barely played any good attacks in t20 cricket, correct me if I am wrong. In the recent series, he had 1 ton when England had their worst attack of the series and whenever Mark Wood played he seemed to struggle.

I see Babar as a slightly more fluent Pujara, really similar bats (of course Pujara far more accomplished in tests for now).

He could have gone on to become Virat Kohli light. Instead he's gone on to become Ahmed Shezad 2.0. The main reason is probably giving him the captaincy and to be honest he is not a good captain anyway.

Yes - Babar has played more games against lower ranked/B sides and yes he has scored heavily against them, but he has score against good sides too.

He may not be playing modern style of cricket but there is no doubt that he is a good batter, and PCB has tried to create an entire International side per his batting style but that is what they wanted.

Pak Cricket lacked a super star after Afridi's retirement  so they tried to find a star in Babar and he has delivered to their expectations.

His number proves that he is v.good batter and we must also consider even Dhoni, Kolhi and Rohit has made their first few centuries against SL. Asian batters takes time to start scoring big against SENA teams.

But there is no comparison between Kolhi/Rohit (white ball) and Babar at this point of time, Kolhi/Rohit are proven white ball monsters -opposition teams fears when they are batting
