Bhuvi and Ashwin - the culprits of 151/0 and 170/0

Defensive Economical bowlers who can't buy a wicket to save their life and come the big game, they bottle it big time.

 

I can't believe this 151/0 wasn't enough for us to learn that both these guys are extremely mediocre cricketers and there is no place for them. I initially said clear No to Ashwin but unfortunately my mind got diverted after watching few average performances from Chahal and also the extra backing of Ashwin by ICFers on this forum.

 

Time to learn this ASAP, in T20 format, there is no place for a defensive economical spinner. Always always pick the wicket taker. You better lose with a wicket taker than a defensive spinner who gets exposed in a big match. Same for Bhuvaneshwar Kumar as well. Both needs to retire from LOI cricket ASAP.

One needs to look at how England have developed Adil Rashid. How he's used by English captains always fascinated me.

Arguably Ashwin & Bhuvi are near the end of their LOI careers, what makes anyone sane think if they haven't delivered till now in crucial games that they will deliver now? Same goes for this madness with KL at the top, so many years of cricket he hasn't played well in one important game for us. Star value & friendships has ruined our team.

In that Game vs Pak (152/0), Ashwin did not play.   Moreover, Shami was our worst bowler in that game.  Not bhuvi.   Just check his eco.rate.   Shami can bowl 140+ , unlike Bhuvi.  But that does not mean he is a better T20 bowler.   Shami has absolutely terrible t20 record.  That's one reason he never played a single t20 after that game(152/0) .

Kela and Rohit should go.  But why Kohli?  Isnt he our only batsman who scored consistently in this tournament?

20-20 cricket ho gaya ab Kohli ka v..he should focus on longer formats mostly. No need to play this format and retire atleast on a personal high.

Never wanted him in T20 again.  What more you need.  Always maintained leggies should be the way to go in T20.  On a flat pitch with short side boundaries bowling a off spinner to right hander is a recipe for disaster. Axar is another fraud. Jadeja would have flopped too. YOu need a leggie.  India's problem was satisfying with a total  of 168.  Rohit's tuk tuk against a pedestrian bowling attack, Kela's flop show. If at all you want to use Ashwin, you open with hard new ball.
