Abhishek Sharma hit a century today..with his bowling working well too..should be in contention to challange Jadeja etc..seems to have good hitting ability as compared to Axar/Shahbaz and opens batting .bowls tough overs..seens agile in fielding too

Why would you give a spinner the 49th over when Rajpoot and Mavi had overs left. It cost them 25-30 extra runs.

Abhishek isn't #7 so how is he going to replace Jadeja. Shahbaz is the best candidate at this point who averages 46 in list A cricket with the bat. Decent with the ball too

So, UP's captain is some Karan Sharma who has a poor list A record + quite inexperienced. Looks like a back door captain just like Niranjan Shah's son used to do when playing for Saurashtra.
No wonder UP made some bizzare selections in this VHT.

I dont think he is a natural opener..just Punjab has sent him up the order..in u19 wc he was batting low down the order..

Shabaz is good too..probably need to be given more opportunities before Abshishek..as he is above in the pecking order but these 2 guys seems to be better bat than Axar..good to have healthy competition..

It's a normal sized ground that you find in India. It's Modi stadium ground 2.
