I always felt dravid seemed disinterested to take up senior level coaching and was forced into it by ganguly. The travel and pressure is not worth it when you have younger kids.

 

And money is not the motivator for someone like dravid. We should get coaches who have limited personal commitments and have the fire to achieve something that they couldn't do in their playing days or formative career.

 

And due to superstar culture we might need an outsider to come in .a soft guy but who is steadfast in his decisions.  Fleming would be great for us.

After our 10 wicket thrashing in SF, I was expecting this joker of a coach to honestly admit that we were thoroughly outplayed. (I respect him as a gentleman).  Instead, he pointed that the reason for our loss was we had won only the 'last session' during our batting. And lost all the other sessions. I intitially got confused as to what exactly he was trying to say.  It's shocking that he still carries this mentality of winning 'sessions', which makes sense only in test matches.    Isn't T20 all about showing intent from ball one?  When would he realise that the game has evolved?  Even test matches are not played the way they used to be in the 90s.    Eng , since 2015WC, hv shown everyone how to play LOI as well as tests.   Not sure if he watches any match involving Eng.
