Thought process is good, but we need to have separate team for T20I's as well.
We can't expect the likes of Kohli, KL, Rohit etc to bat in a different way just because it's T20. There is a place for only 1 accumulator, not 3-3.

 

Baz failed as a coach in KKR because Gill wasn't playing as per his requirements. You need players who have T20 skillset and mindset.

Ashish will be a good choice. He is supportive of pace bowlers for a change. Also dont see seniority worship atleast till now.

He will do Pandya worship. Thing is unless captain have supreme power coach hardly can do anything.Nehra is not as powerful figure as Dravid to enforce his idea or selection. Eventually he will end up parroting same word what Chapri fed him.

Bhai, let him do Pandya worship, every Indian ex-cricketer has now become a fanboy for someone in the Indian team, and BCCI won't dare to bring a strong foreign coach who will speak freely.
 

If Nehra he can take care of our fast bowlers and guide them that's more than enough, out batters are out of control for anyone.
Good thing is Nehra understands the T20 cricket and it's rigors, him in the setup can help likes of Mohsin Khan and Yash Dayal who are faster that Arshdeep and are more suited for non-swinging conditions.

Nehra's choice was Bumrah, Siraj, Shami, Prasudh and Chahar as allrounder. 

 

I hope he becomes our Coach across formats.
