If Reese Topley is worth millions, surely this guy is a slam-dunk value pick at his base price.  Even at a crore or 2, having him in an IPL squad makes too much sense for it not to happen.

The IPL selection herd mindset continues to overrate Australian and Pommies while overlooking talent from 'other' nations.

Disappointing.

If the dhokla-jalebi owners of MI could spend so much on raw South African tall bowlers, why not a proven commodity like Blessing?

I feel bad for this guy, and wouldn't blame him if he concluded that Indians are prejudiced.  Flawed talent evaluation is literally costing him a living. One that he deserves.

As he is black & plays for Zim hence no bids for him...  Can u believe even Daniel Sams got crores lol.

Blessing is young & has bright future.  I wish some BBL teams pick this guy...  He will run riot in BBL as we are seeing mediocre Aussie Trundlers are having field days in that league.

Theres definitely a Pro Aussie Lobby in the IPL , most teams fall over each other to select No Name Aussies. Could it be due to Aussies in roles as advisors, selectors, mentors and coaches to the teams who push forward players from their own countries ? There are no prominent Zimbabweans like Baz or Ponting to influence the decisions of the owners/Management .

Even useless players like Nathan Ellis , Dan Christian find buyers in the IPL.

IPL is also biased against Banglas so it's good to see Liton Das finally getting selected.

For a few years in the middle, even SL players stopped getting contracts before Chameera and Hassaranga got picked again..

I mean, I get that Sams can also bat - but there are plenty of foreign pace bowlers who don't really bat that get picked up.  At a minimum, even if you pick a guy like him and put in your squad or bench as a backup, it just makes sense.  He's not even expensive.  Its really unfortunate.

Raza from Zim was able to break through but not him...

Raza is an AR though and had a good WT20.

There's a huge SENA bias in IPL auctions (hell even in cricket as a whole) not race bias.

Also, those players who beat the crap out of us in T20Is go for big bucks lol. Since non-SENA teams don't beat us enough, even their good players don't grab our attention.

Many deserving SL and BD players have missed out on IPL contracts due to this in the past.

He must generate some hype and he will be set in most t20 leagues.

Or can hire Sanju Samson supporter before next ipl.

topley is better than blessing; topley is better at death bowling, for example.

I agree, though, that he could be picked at a bargain price (and perhaps benched thereafter)

Yes but they could only beat the crap out of us in conditin s that favour them lol except the u.a.e loss to Kiwis which was shocking. Funnily enough we always lose crucial tosses.
