Absolute brain dead selection, Surya should have been selected in 2018 in the place of Rahane but instead he now gets selected to test squad due to T20 exploits. 

Whereas Kishan going as back up keeper, has ever kept on FC matches? 

As @SRT100 said all hopes on Ashwin, Jadeja ,Axar and curator.

IT is very clear team management has influenced the selection as far as SKY's selection goes. There is no other explanation. SKY is slowly but surely becoming part of the clan that is running the show.

He **** the bed in A tours.he clearly was the next man up and he was very underwhelming.Sky is very unlikely to play unless we have a injury.

We have always had quotas affecting selections. Always. It's just much worse now.

I can see why Sky been picked, having someone who can sweep and reverse sweep Lyon but ignores all the domestic toil Sarfaraz has done

Tests- Would have liked to see SHAW in the Squad. Udadkat is a waste of time for all purposes. Much rather they select a young fast bowler.

 

ODI - Why Bharat and why not Samson ? Shami, Chahal and even Thakur are not necessary there. Shami should only be playing tests at this point and Chahal retired. 

 

T20I - Better without old names except chahal. Glad they got SHAW in to the Squad. they need to manage him well. He can serve us well for a decade.

A tours should not be the ultimate judge of your talent? What did SKY do in A tours?

No justice for Sarfaraz Khan!

 

What message does this send to players hopeful of making it to the Test team? I don't doubt SKY credentials, but he hasn't played much FC cricket in the last few years. He only played a couple of games recently since he was in line for a Test spot. If T20s are the door to the Test team, then just have IPL. Why have this pathetic charade of having players perform in Ranji Trophy and then disappoint them time and time again?

Would be interested to know what Sarfaraz average or record is for the A team, how can one find out?

Undeserving Gujarati selecting an undeserving gujarati. What has he achieved in Bangladesh to be selected ? He not selected for so many years. They could have selected a young fast bowler but no they selected under cutter. For gujaratis they are all one not like other states.

Norje is not a bowler we struggle with. We will handle him fine. It's Jansen we need to worry about who himself got exposed badly however in Australia. Jansen would get torched in India. Still a class bowler for sen conditions though.

All wee need is to bring sarfraz, sundar, Shaw in. All 3 did well in a tour there last time. Remove oldies or we will lose 2-1 again.

i only remember this because i was on the Sarfaraz bandwagon and really wanted him to make our test team and checked all the scores on the A tour.i disagree that only Ranji scores should be used for national selection especially for batsmen.If you cant make runs in A tour then imo you will not do it in Test cricket,
