Well humanity aside, this is a smart diplomatic move. Imagine how difficult we make for Erdogan now to make anti India statements. By being gracious we show them the mirror.

And to be honest Erdogan has toned down against India. They have more business interests in India.

and if the anti India statements are still made, then?

Reading some SM accounts and regional TV channels accusing that Pakistan refused to provide air space to Indian airplanes that flew to Turkey with aid materials . Sad if true, esp they being part of the brotherhood of islamic nations

and brotherhood of humanity :hysterical:

India should use it as an excuse and stop the aid, Turkey historically has been against us by supporting Pakistan. This time India has a chance to blame it all on Pakistan and try to strangle Turkey-Pakistan relations.

Diplomacy is dynamic game. One defining move won’t define the relationship. But one can make decisive gestures to pivot. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t. But here India has nothing to lose. If Erdogan goes hardline after this, it’s on him.

There are loads of toxic pieces of **** on that shithole called Twitter from all countries. No point in reading those kind of tweets and getting worked up about it.

I guarantee that most of the Turkish and Syrian citizens would appreciate whatever assistance any country has given to them.

Most Indians don't know much about Turkey. Just because they diplomatically sided with Pakistan for Kashmir, they assume they're no different from them.

Turks are least bothered about South Asia to be frank, they always take pride in their European identity and refuse to associate with Arabs, forget South Asians.

On the contrary Pakistanis identity themselves as Turkic or central Asian descent. Erdgoan is the problem not Turkish people. He sided with Muslim brotherhood supported Egyptian Muslim brotherhood leader and imposed restrictions on woman freedom in Turkey. He sided with Pakistan because of Muslim brotherhood.

They have that fetish. And it is a fetish. Turkish citizens by and large regard them as beggars and wannabes.

The problem is what Erdogan and his idiosyncrasies. When that is kept under control , so will turkey be under control.

Long story in short , nations respect other nations when they make a stand for themselves.

It might take some time for that but will sooner rather than later happen.

Ye sab muslim umma and etc etc goes to * all basis when the leaders first of all don't have any respect for their nation.

Turkey & India have calmed things down a bit even before the disaster.  Modi Erdogan talks in SCO were sorta a breakthrough.

Let's see though...  Pakistan is always a factor in our troubled relationship
