Another 50 by Jaiswal.   Sound technique from both. Only thing i want to see from Eswaran is how good he is against bouncers. He is standing like almost a feet or two outside the crease and walk towards the seamer.

Jaiswal and Shaw cannot open for India soon enough with Gill to follow at 3.

It would be an ideal attack...Jaiswal is technically strong and can play like Gambhir...seems mentally capable as well. Plays spin really well.
Shaw is uber aggressive and you need someone who can take the attack back to the opposition.

Gill is someone who can hold one end like Kohli.

Looks like MP has no decent bowlers.

This was a green top.  You don't really have to have a top attack. Both these guys stood outside the crease and came down the wicket even further killed any assistance they had. Mayank typically edged to keeper like he did in the international. Ball had a lot of bite first session.

Kuldeep Sen is in NCA, Gourav Yadav wasn't played for unknown reasons. Avesh "gruntrundler" Khan is the only decent pacer they have.

Rajat Paidar & Venkatesh Iyer were also not played.

Jaiswal can keep scoring double hundreds, but they don't matter. One opening spot is reserved for KL Rahul (after a token gap) and the other one has been taken by the captain. Domestic cricket performers can just keep dreaming.

and if not this duo, dhawan uncle is waiting in the wings (grinning) or the flashy gill (who is suited for LOIs alone) will try to grab the reserve spot

Jaiswal, Gill, Sarfaraz will fit in very nicely for India in future.

Maybe 1,3,5 slots for them.

Iyer can slot in at 4.

Need to find the second opener ( not convinced with Shaw)..Maybe Dhull in future.

sarfaraz seems a good fit for 5. shubman can't handle new ball (which no. 3 needs to face) and can't handle too much spin either. best position is no. 4, but only if he tightens his game a lot - otherwise, he should be dropped.

no iyer. can only score against weaker teams and that too in SC

Jaiswal and Easwaran both scored 100.
But khelega to KL Rahul hi.

I think We not have more choice than pick Rahul, who is still good at #5 now for Ahmedabad test, after all we need to draw that test
