express bowling Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 All players take some time to mature. And that time varies a bit from person-to-person. Gill's maturity as a batter has come in late 2022. After that he has been awesome in ODIs and T20Is. Played just 3 tests and one of these has been on a very poor pitch. Has scored a century. I will assess his test match ability after 10 more tests.
anish2tweet Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Arey, drop Siraj and bring Kuldeep Yadav or SKY
Moochad Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Saach mein: we can drop one of the batsmen and play Kuldeep and not lose many runs if any. Our bowling will be strengthened express bowling 1

vvvslaxman Posted March 10, 2023 Posted March 10, 2023 Our past coach is no better. Look at this statement. What are the specialist batsmen for? https://indianexpress.com/article/sports/cricket/axar-patel-kuldeep-yadav-ind-vs-aus-ahmedabad-test-8488817/ If it wouldn’t have been for his batting, India wouldn’t have won in Nagpur and Delhi: Ravi Shastri defends Axar Patel’s selection over Kuldeep Yadav Lord 1

Gollum Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 His batting has been the find of the series. Feeling good about the post Ash-Jaddu era. The trio of Kuldeep, Axar, Sundar presents a formidable option for home tests. Lord 1
Gollum Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 Axar will also come good in white ball cricket, just give him some time. He will be a superior version of Jaddu in ODIs/T20s. Both him and Kuldeep should be backed there, please no Chahal. Lord 1
tapandrun Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 With all inconsistency and thoughtless selections, Axar has proved his worth in the series being best batter from Ind side. Other star batters have to reflect too much on their performance, but when 17 runs are good enough then you kind of think nothing is going to change

Axar's challenge is conditions not format He'll be great in all formats in Asia+WI. but has been poor in SENA. Would be difficult for him to replicate Jaddu in SENA especially Tests.
Need4Speed Posted March 12, 2023 Posted March 12, 2023 lets just think Axar is playing as a batter..and appreciate his batting performances.. may be he will himself work towards getting stronger as a batsman and keep bowling as a secondary skill..being a left handed bat is a bonus.. he will have to work a lot to bat well in SENA..lets see..
