Irony : Can’t drop Axar the bowler for Kuldeep because our batsmen are worthless

What a pathetic joke this team is … Axar’s bowling is redundant with Jadeja. Kuldeep is the much better option - but Axar is our 2nd best bat - so can’t drop him.

Aussies batsmen have improved leaps and bounds after the 2nd test break. 

 

Do our top order batsmen do any self reflection or have any shame left ?

No. They are freeloading since 2+ years and lost whatever little shame they had long ago. Jaddu and Ashwin are already run contributors and our batters now need Axar as well to make for their shortfall. They can't drop washed up batsmen but will drop MOM award winning Kuldeep in a heartbeat.

Correct.

 

Move Axar to 4 as a batsman and boot Kohli out.

Bring in Kuldeep to play as a spinner for Siraj.

I would bring in SKY in the middle order to further strengthen the brittle batting side.

 

Both moves makes India stronger, batting and as well as bowling.

Agree. We always default to dropping new players when the experienced guys are doing nothing. Gill has got a few chances, but I think he is better suited to the middle order rather than as an opener. Iyer had done well earlier and should get a few more chances. But Pujara and Kohli should be dropped ASAP. Somehow only Rahane became the fall guy of the earlier cuts (very justifiably as Rahane was also not doing much), but these two got away.

Selection and composition has been a joke for las 2/3 years - Selecting 18 member teams for 3 match Home / Asia series.

Players like Hooda selected in T20is with no clear plan where to bat him when to bowl him/if to bowl him

 

Sky selected in Tests and Odis with no plan or no returns. Kishan been persisted as a Keeper (1st or 2nd) when its clear he has problem with any kind of moving bowl (spin/pace) .

In fairness Indian batsmen have problems with any kind of bowling be it pace or spin.

yes, my preference is to have pujara and brat dropped. with that being said, chepu-brat duo have performed better than gill-iyer this series

What is everyone talking about ? Gill has played 1 test on a pitch which was rated poor with 3 demerit points.  

 

With patience so low among fans no wonder players are selfish and put self before team.

Sky is a t20 batsman, he won't strengthen our test batting.

I am referring to his overall record in india, not just the one test. also, you can go and read the post to which you responded. I clearly wrote that chepu and brat should go first
