Nikola
Huge miss for NZ. Was most likely going to be his last odi worldcup too i guess. Played finals in his last 2 odi worldcup. What a way to end his career. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
What a tragedy. Saw images of him walking to airport. Looked real bad. He should have learnt from chahal. Buttler injured his finger taking a catch. I think Topley also injured. I was surprised Wood was able to land well after taking a very tough catch. Link to comment

Gollum
5 months away and already two mega stars in Pant, Kane ruled out. Not sure about Bumrah either. cricketfan28 1 Link to comment
Stan AF
Bad news. Really unfortunate. All that acrobatic stunts near boundary lines finaly scalps a good player. Link to comment

Doubt he would have given up test captaincy if he was planning to playing for more 5 years. Also he has been injury prone in recent years. nevada 1 Link to comment
Aiden
Karma at its best. Williamson refused to captain his national side playing ODI series in Pakistan to play a domestic tamasha league. Now not only he's out of that league he wont be able to captain his country in his last ODI WC. ALLAH is the best planner. sage 1 Link to comment
zen
Injuries are unfortunate and can happen on the field or off the field ... Wishing him a speedy recovery! Lord 1 Link to comment
Nikola
If he plays then surely it reduces some % chance of winning the worldcup. It was already not that high though. Edited June 26, 2023 by Nikola Link to comment
Nikhil_cric
Michael Bracewell out as well. NZ's WC hopes are getting slimmer by the day. Link to comment

It is astonishing to know Kane williamson has never played a ODI in India in 6 years !! His average is 33 at a strike rate of 72 in India. Kane williamson's strike rate in Austrlaia 63. His strike rate in Srilanka 68. Link to comment

But NZ have made it out of the first round in every World Cup since 1992. No other team has actually done that. It's in the knockouts that they get beaten. But this time, even getting into semis looks tough. Link to comment

Devon Conway is going to be their main player given how he adapted himself to these pitches. Guys like Mitchell, Neesham, Philips have to play supporting role. Real problem with fast bowling. There is no real death bowling resourcecs. Link to comment
