Austin 3:!6
Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has called his Pakistani counterpart Bilawal Bhutto Zardari the "promoter, justifier and spokesperson of a terrorism industry". "Victims of terrorism do not sit together with its perpetrators to discuss terrorism," Mr Jaishankar said after a meeting of foreign ministers of the member nations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in Goa. "Bhutto Zardari came as Foreign Minister of a SCO member state; that's part of multilateral diplomacy and we don't see anything more than that," Mr Jaishankar said. The two foreign ministers did not hold a bilateral at the SCO meeting. "On terrorism, Pakistan's credibility is depleting even faster than its forex reserves," Mr Jaishankar said in a clear swipe at Pakistan's struggle with a huge financial crisis that has forced the country to knock from door to door for loans. https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/s-jaishankar-calls-pakistans-bilawal-bhutto-spokesperson-for-terrorism-industry-4008992/amp/

Number
His fundamentals seem pretty clear. A very good EAM in such times when India should begin to be assertive. randomGuy
ravishingravi
This was response to Bhutto's comments on PM. It was clearly pre meditated.
Khota
After what Baby Bhutto said about the PM Modi, Jaishankar response was absolutely correct. If Pakistan wants to normalize relations with India, they need to start talking properly to begin with.

Remember Ghaas kha lenge but Atom Bomb banayenge... This is their embedded mentality. So expecting them to stop their 1000 cut policy of proxy war which has served them well rather than facing in India in all out wars in which they got some serous lashings is futile. They understand only one language & that is what we have not been doing to them off late. singhvivek141

They are bad but are actually a creditable military power (big land force & decent air power for its size) & will remain a constant nuisance to Indian ambitions in South Asia. Their connections & vested interest with the West & China make them a absolute disgusting neighbor to have. Add to that a rabidly radicalized population. You can't ignore such a foe. They carry a lot of weight in the Islamic countries as they have a nuke and are happy to loan out their army as security guards. Also, they are doing jihad on a non-islamic country which gets them a lot of admirers in countries like Turkey. They are good at asymmetrical warfare - especially their media wing and are more than a thorn in the flesh for us.

Paxtanis just like in Birtaniya are doing all sorts of illegal activities, robberies, extortion, molestation type stuff. It made national news there. Turkey government is a different matter though. Pakistan proudly calls itself Sword of Islam as it boasts itself as most powerful Islamic country.

Turkey as a country is not as liberal as it used to be. Saw that around Turkey last year. Erdogan has done a good job in assaulting the good work done by Ataturk. They get excited by the sword of Islam bull. Lone Wolf

Economy is alright...but you can't ignore the military...no amount of infrastructure and economic development will help if our military stops upgrading. We aren't not a vassal state like Japs are, so we have to be always on alert considering the nuisance we have on across western border.

jf1gp_1
It was expected he was going to be firm given terror attacks in last few days. Pakistani never learn and had this meeting not been going on along with g20 we would have taken some stern steps. raki05 and ravishingravi
jf1gp_1
Just watched entire press conference. He was visibly annoyed and breathing fire. To me it appeared as if some ,no-no terms to bring up, would have been agreed pre Bilwal visit which were not honored by Pakistani on top of that terror attack. ravishingravi

Their sheer numbers are enough to keep us locked in Kashmir /POK for years. Unless India opts for the big boys & risk a nuclear showdown. Pakistani Air force is decent for its size & they have to concentrate on only one border.... Unlike us who have to keep half of the forces on Eastern border with Chinese. Now with two hostile borders we are at a disadvantage. IAF is spread thin & despite calls to increase the squadrons we are still quite behind to maintain two borders. 30 squadrons (inc old mig 29) is the number while IAF said it needs at least 42. Hence keeping peace seems only option to GOI. Edited May 7 by Lone Wolf
